Who: Pell, Flick, Cal, and Ulaume
What: Pell gets everyone together to implore them to get along and it inevitably turns into a bitchfest.
Where: 1402
When: now!
Warnings: language, possible mentions of murder
This isn't going to go well and Pell knows it, but he's doing it anyway -- and that's the shorthand for his entire life, really.
As happy as he is with Cal here, he misses his best friend. And (unfortunately) Flick now comes with Ulaume. Which means all four of them are going to have to learn to get along somehow. They can't just keep avoiding each other, and the city isn't big enough if he thought that was a solution. So he's asked Flick to come back home and bring his chesnari. If he can be civil so can they. This Cal hasn't yet done what Flick hates him for, maybe it's possible that he never does.
He hasn't told Cal that the others are coming by, and they're curled up in the living room when there's a knock at the door. Pell bolts up to answer it. "Don't move," he orders Cal, his hand on the doorknob. And then he opens it to usher Flick and Ulaume in.
Let the fighting begin.

(He might regret it all too. Flick isn't the only one drunk, and he's impulsive enough sober.)

He nuzzles into Cal's neck, feeling flushed and warm and comfortable for the first time since the others came over.

"If you ask nicely I'll even be gentle."

"You trust Cal. I trust Lor." He traced Ulaume's chest with his fingers, tearing his gaze away from Pellaz and his chesnari to his own. "Lor?"

One more sharing of breath privately with Flick though. Shhh. Let them decide.

"Would you, then?"

Somehar somewhere was watching this whole mess and laughing at all of them.
"I don't bite. Much."

They'd all been friends once, kind of. Minus Ulaume, who in Flick's opinion hadn't had a chance to show his true colors. Or maybe that was his Saltrock naivete and innocence showing through. He pointedly ignored Cal's jab. He remembered how you bite, Calanthe. Even if you don't outwardly.
"Lor?" He looked to his chesnari, the last one out. "We're going to need each other in this world. We might as well find out how much we can trust each other right now."
I'm the wurst
But that need not happen. He'll be careful. And yes... they all have a point. This is necessary. The first baby step towards something like peace, perhaps.
And Pell did come out and ask. Like he wanted. He gives a mental shrug in reply to Flick, then nods. "I would. I will."
