Event Log: Patron Gods

Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Patron Gods event!
Where: All around the city
When: March 15th-March 20th
Warnings: The gods choose you! Whether you choose them back is your call.

It's March 15th! Whether or not you've been having a good or a bad week, the gods decided to get together and put all the characters on teams- just like in those gym classes that you always skipped! Whether or not you were the last one picked is up for debate, but until we can figure that particular mystery out, there's another one to mull over... namely, who left that mysterious note in your bedside table/shoe/fishtank? And how did you get a friendship bracelet twined around your wrist?

Regardless, when opened, the letter will say-

'Congratulations! You have been chosen! [God name] thinks you're a great fit for their team! All you have to do is spread their emotion, and you'll get a blessing - and if your team wins, you get the grand prize: one (1) request for each member of the team, no payment required! Or you can band together and request one big thing, it's all up to you! So find your allies, get started, and let's win this thing!'

Whether or not this is for real becomes immediately obvious, as you seem to find yourself yearning to cooperate with your teammates, and maybe feeling a bit competitive toward your foes. Grab a squeaky chicken or a creepy doll or a snowglobe from the shops if you like, and let's get inspiring! Of course, you aren't forced to participate, but have fun telling your teammates that nobody is going to win their wish because you decided to be a stick in the mud.

Go forth and spread joy! Or sorrow, or scare people, or just really piss them off- but whatever you do, try to have fun and build that sense of community! You're going to need it...

If Tyki's dozing, Kanda's certainly going to be as stealthy as humanly possible. He had gotten Fear, which honestly amused him more than anything else given the fact that he had publicly challenged him months ago. Then again, that did cause quite a panic in the populace... So he could see the reasoning behind it.

The issue being, he hasn't been motivated to bring such a panic sense.

But, finding your enemy dozing on the streets? That was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Trying to kill Tyki would be too predictable, not to mention the flare of Innocence would jolt him awake. That was no fun. Instead, Mugen rests quietly and innocently at his side as he's kneeling down in front of Tyki.

Okay, so he didn't quite think this through??? This was more Lavi's area of pranking than anything else. Maybe if he just....waited? Quietly.

[Normally he has a pillow of some sort when he finds a place to sleep but this time it was rather natural and plain as he dozes against the side of a building. With his knees slightly bent and his arms kind of set against his stomach he was content to doze.

Yet that nagging feeling of Innocence picking at him has him waking up enough to open his eyes only to find Kanda kneeling down in front of him. He tenses instantly with his fingers curling against his shirt and he waits for it... for about half a minute.

Then there is just confusion riddling his face as that statement fades away rather evenly.] You know, if you want something you could just ask... [Said dryly.]

[ It was just too strong a temptation to not bother Tyki this way. How often does one find ones enemy out and sleeping in the open like this? If he were more like Lavi, he would have tried to take a marker and draw on Tyki's face as well, but thankfully he was above such childish actions. Even if the thought crossed his mind.

That's totally amusement sparkling in his eyes as he's just smirking at Tyki's reaction whenever the Noah does wake up. Ah, that was satisfactory. Literally all he wanted, because as soon as Tyki's speaking, Kanda's getting back to his feet, smirk still on his face. ]

I just wanted to see what you would do.

[He was rather confident and relaxed and with their little agreement to stay off each others toes it put him at a small bit of ease. It's not that he expected him to outright keep it if something odd happened but it was a well deserved nap for a rather dull 'event'.

He's going to pull a knee up and drape an arm over it now that his heart isn't on high alert and he'll give him a rather flat look with a sharp snort at the way he's going about things.]

So, which god did you get stuck with, swordsman? [Changing the subject already. Wasn't startled at all.]

[ They could...kind of get along as nothing set either of them off. Which Kanda was easier of the two to set off, given his short temper and patience. Kanda himself was simply way more wary of their little agreement than Tyki was, though. He was constantly expecting to be betrayed.

Kanda can't help the snort he's giving as Tyki's just playing it all off as if it were routine. Tyki pls.

Though you know, having Innocence in your face might have been a little scarier, now that he thinks about it. ] Fear, funnily enough. [ Considering the bravado he displayed months ago calling said god out... ]

[He's not sure how honest Kanda can be but the likelyhood that Tyki would be the betrayer is an all time high. There's no telling what events might influence their minds just like how it was doing it now in a mild way.

He hasn't gotten up and is just sitting there with his hand now draping across his stomach in a lazy manner now that he can even his breathing out. He's smooth and cool like nothing is bothering him. Ah ha, shut up Kanda.

He would've scooted back against the wall.] Fear? Must be easy to give. I didn't know he liked you.

[ He has absolutely nothing to lose beyond pride, so why would he lie? But he could also say the same thing about Tyki, but that just puts too much trust into the Noah than he cares for, honestly. Who knows what'll happen.

So lazy, Tyki. Kanda's just rolling his eyes before turning to view Tyki's work. Socks and shit everywhere.

Oh good, that would have been satisfactory :D And thrilling. Ohoho. I mean, what. ] It'd be easy to give if I cared about anything here. I didn't know he liked me either. He said I seemed like the "scary sort." [ Yeah, he's talked to Fear. Because, you know, he was amused and all. ]

[A desperate Exorcist in Tyki's mind would do anything. He's seen it far too many times to count. It always went the same way eventually. Drastic measures. Foolish attempts. Dying from cheap sacrifice.

He might scratch as well at his stomach to even press on more that he doesn't want to move or do anything worth causing effort right now. He could honestly just go back to sleep. No one was appreciating his work yet the confusion was there.

Too bad it just didn't happen. There would also be confusion and then delight and rage all together if they started fighting.] You can be, I suppose. Not many can appreciate your eyes and the way you fight in battle. Nor can they appreciate anyone capable of destruction. They are just afraid of it.

Fear is easy.

[ Kanda couldn't blame them. He's been there, as a child. He was desperate to live, so he cut down Alma. But he hasn't been in that situation since, even when it looked bleek, and he was at death's door.

Wow Tyki, playing off the nonchalant a little hard, aren't you? Kanda's just rolling his eyes and stepping away to nudge at one of the hanging socks sticking out of a lamp post with Mugen's sheath.

There would certainly be one hell of a ball of emotions if they started to fight. But lets not, bcause uh.... Yeah, pretty sure everyone would like all of the buildings to stay in tack.

But wow Tyki, way to vaguely compliment him. It gets him to turn back slightly with a brow raise. ] I know fear's easy. Whether or not I'm willing to put out this much effort is the question.

There's not a lot of gain out of it.

[It was all about finding the right one to trigger and push into the right set of circumstances. Tyki gathered information well and his last successful gathering had been a desperate Exorcist. Nothing here had really been desperate to push Kanda that far. Their mutual agreement was mostly on boredom and wanting a way out.

He is as he sits there and stretches his arms above his head so he can tussle his fingers through the back of his hair. He might've complimented him but he had done so in the past in battle. Really, it was there mere fact he just never shut up.] Well, I certainly didn't. This took me roughly thirty minutes.

Some fancy little reward that isn't a ticket home? I agree.

[ He won't get it out of this Kanda, in any case. Have fun trying though, Tyki. But yes, Kanda can agree that their "truce" was just boredom, as entertaining as fighting each other was.

Socks in random places where they shouldn't belong was definitely over the top, even for someone claiming they're lazy like Tyki. Kanda can agree that he doesn't shut up, though. Oddly enough, the trait reminds him of Lavi. But he's snorting at that, hearing how long it took Tyki to do this. ]

As if they're going to let go of us. Sorrow's admitted that much.

[He knows. He's figured that out by now. Kanda didn't really have a desperate unless he wasn't aware of himself.

There are the knives and tea cups as well. He'll see evidence of that scattered everywhere. Not to mention lights on the ceilings now on floors or doors sealed shut to the hinge.]

Anyone that thinks they are going to let us go would be foolish. It would take all their energy to do so as some of them have claimed and then they would be hungry again. We fuel them. Without us they cannot sustain their powers. Or so far they've shown nothing otherwise.

[ Fucking voyeur, man. Clearly Tyki had too much fun watching him fight Alma. Still something he's not proud of, considering, but he's at least grateful that he got to make peace with Alma and find out the truth. Even if it cost him a lot.

Shit Tyki, how many homes did you invade to steal this many tea cups and knives? ... He out to check his supply when he gets home. ]

Of course they haven't shown us otherwise. Why would they? They think themselves superior to humans [ Rings a nice bell, doesn't it? ] so they use us. Better than killing us, I suppose.

[Ding, ding. Right on the nail. You know he is. There is no denying that fact. He loved to watch a lot of things from pleasure to a battle to the simple things like friends talking.

A lot. The stores first and then various houses to find matching sets. Then he gave up and took what he could get. If they were desperate they could pull them free and tear them a little.]

There's a lot that can be considered superior to humans, swordsman. It's just the fact that humans find ways of advancing and surpassing what use to hinder them. It repeats in that manner throughout history.

[ Oh, did he just laugh a little? He just laughed a little at that statement, Tyki, because how fucking ironic. He was making a jab at you Noah and yet he comes back with that? After all of those speeches about being high and mighty and yadda yadda yadda back home. He's never paid attention to them because they were all nonsense. He proved that much. ]

That's funny, coming from a Noah.

Careful, swordsman. I could compare that same logic to your little Order. Those bastards that sit in their pretty little chairs judging you like a god for all their actions. Choosing who dies and who needs to be terminated.

So yes, quite hilarious. [No one is really innocent in this whole thing and that is a truth even Kanda should realize.]

[ Oh, Kanda's known it for his whole life, pretty much. Ever since he got some of his memories back about his first, permanent death. How he was killed by Akuma, and brought back to life decades later. How his promise revived him when they tried to kill him. So that draws out a cruel and bitter laugh out of him (Do excuse him for a moment.), because you know what?

The Order was worse than the Noah were. They both knew it. The only reason he had even gone back to the Order was to get Mugen back. ]

They do more than just put us on a pedestal and you bloody well know it.

[He hums in a deep satisfactory sound at the reaction he's getting. His fingers fish into his pocket for a small amount of water and he'll take a nice drink from it as he licks his lips slowly before letting his tongue slide off the bottle.]

Oh, I've heard far too much to know that, Exorcist. I don't even have to be a part of your Order to know all the dirty little secrets.

[ Don't you just love how you can string Kanda along sometimes? He's a lot like the others when it came to his emotions - he has trouble holding them back. ]

Their dirty little secrets is what I want to know. [ Especially when it comes to brainwashing with Innocence by someone who wasn't an Exorcist, but that wasn't something he was just going to outright blurt out. ]

[He finally gets up against the wall and onto his feet as he stretches out rather casually in front of the enemy. Right now he was wide open but there wasn't much point to fighting.]

I don't really care for any of that. The Earl wants something and he'll get it maybe or maybe he won't. [Things were getting complicated. Far too complicated for him. He was a fighter not a thinker. Oops, changing topic now.] I'm still hungry. We should go get something to eat- [Casually again as if they were friends or something. Ufu] - if we're going to keep talking. If not, I'm going to move location before I have to clean any of this up.

[ Kanda's just snorting as Tyki's getting up and just writing him off. Sort of. It was clear they weren't continuing the conversation here, and he honestly didn't feel like following a Noah to find something to eat.

He had boundaries, ok. ] No thanks.

[He kind of is. He can only take talking to Kanda while sort of pinned against a wall for so long. Eventually he'll say something, he might draw Mugen and that's never a good thing. He's far too lazy to fight right now yet... given a chance he would definitely do it.]

Oh come now, Exorcist. I know someone that can make a delicious lunch and I know she won't mind the company. [He knows he'll still say no but it was worth teasing.]

[ It's not like he's holding you hostage against the wall like a certain Cardinal had. Tyki had free reign over his body and was free to move if he so wished.

At the offer of lunch with a Noah, though, he'll still scoff. Nope he'll just forever deny all of that. ] I'm not hungry. [ Don't make him shoo you off, Tyki >:( ]

[He'd rather not be pinned to a wall in any situation unless it was a hot woman with a knife maybe and a sex drive to add to that.

He grins a little wider as he opens his hands as if he's completely helpless to the situation.] As you wish. I'm sure she could have made you something you liked. Try not to die while I'm away. [Kanda won't even get another word in because poof there he goes into the ground :D]
