Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Patron Gods event!
Where: All around the city
When: March 15th-March 20th
Warnings: The gods choose you! Whether you choose them back is your call.

It's March 15th! Whether or not you've been having a good or a bad week, the gods decided to get together and put all the characters on teams- just like in those gym classes that you always skipped! Whether or not you were the last one picked is up for debate, but until we can figure that particular mystery out, there's another one to mull over... namely, who left that mysterious note in your bedside table/shoe/fishtank? And how did you get a friendship bracelet twined around your wrist?

Regardless, when opened, the letter will say-

'Congratulations! You have been chosen! [God name] thinks you're a great fit for their team! All you have to do is spread their emotion, and you'll get a blessing - and if your team wins, you get the grand prize: one (1) request for each member of the team, no payment required! Or you can band together and request one big thing, it's all up to you! So find your allies, get started, and let's win this thing!'

Whether or not this is for real becomes immediately obvious, as you seem to find yourself yearning to cooperate with your teammates, and maybe feeling a bit competitive toward your foes. Grab a squeaky chicken or a creepy doll or a snowglobe from the shops if you like, and let's get inspiring! Of course, you aren't forced to participate, but have fun telling your teammates that nobody is going to win their wish because you decided to be a stick in the mud.

Go forth and spread joy! Or sorrow, or scare people, or just really piss them off- but whatever you do, try to have fun and build that sense of community! You're going to need it...

[Danse glances at Sans, surprised. Could be at Sans's words or maybe even at himself, because unlearning deeply ingrained bad habits and preconceptions takes time. And for someone as firm in his dislike and distrust in monsters, Danse would take more than just two encounters and a lollipop.]

Dremurr is...he reminds me of two people that I admire greatly. [Danse pauses, looking perplexed again.] My views have been constantly challenged over the past few months, even before the Door brought me here.

I'm still not too sure how I feel about monsters. But I'm...I suppose, grateful for both your patience.

Aw, gee. He almost lays a hand over his chest, roughly around the spot his SOUL's located, just for the theater of it. But that'd be pretty facetious, and thus outta place in a moment that's been nothin' but sincere.

"He's a good guy. Asgore." The King of all Monsters. Brave and unwilling, laden with regret. Done a lotta bad things in his time, but who here hasn't?

Who here hasn't.

"Hard not to like him."

It's a moment of sincerity that Danse had not expected. And he definitely did not expect to be sharing it with a skeleton. But his life has been all about breaking and shattering expectations, both good and bad. Time spent in the Commonwealth working the ground alongside ghouls, getting to actually know ghouls, has begun to crack some of that Brotherhood steel.

"I agree, on both accounts." Danse only hopes that he won't be proven wrong. He is, after all, a poor judge of character. "The people I admired were very much like him. Leaders of men, but never losing that connection with the very people they swore to protect. It's a rare, admirable quality." And one that he himself is lacking in.

Suddenly aware that he's perhaps sharing a bit too much about himself to a stranger, Danse clears his throat, looking a little awkward.

"Anyway, I should get moving. Thanks for the confectioneries, Skeleton."

Never losing that connection, no. For all the LOVE he must have by now, six humans' worth, it ain't nearly enough to cut him off from the core of who he is. Maybe that's the real bottom line, there; no matter how much you might try, there's no severing that tie.

Or, hell. Maybe that's just hopeful, wishful, stupid thinking. Thinking like that's the same as got him killed.

"No problem, pal." He leans back on the spot, letting his eyesockets drift lazily shut. "I'll see you around."
