Who: Open to everyone
What: #TeamTranquillity are in it to win it. Deciding to work together, the gang has taken over the library and converted it into a space for weary residents of Hadriel to catch their breath and just take it easy amid the intensifying competition in the city to invoke one emotion or another.
Where: The Library
When: March 15th to March 21st, duration of the event.
Warnings: Will Update if necessary!
[Hadriel's library has unfortunately seen little use; the books are either unreadable or cover material so random that onlyHope someone who completely did not understand the concept of fun would have picked those books. Little wonder it's hardly frequented by Hadriel's residents.
But it's still a library: meaning, it's got plenty of space, and plenty of peace and quiet.
So with all the chaos erupting over the city? It could make the perfect sanctuary, a place to take a breather from the emotion wars. A place where a person could unwind over a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, knit a sweater in peace, or even plunge themselves into pillow/blanket fort and just take a nap. A place to relax.
A place for Tranquillity.
Which is why Team Tranquillity has taken over the library and converted it into a mini R&R. Tables and chairs have been pushed to the side to allow for floor space, and comfortable chairs, sofas and even beanie bags, all in softer pastel colours, dot the empty space. A couple of tables and chairs have been left as well, so that those in need of them can use them as they'd like. And of course, the giant pillow fort bundled in one corner for people to unceremoniously throw themselves into.
The members of Team Tranquillity are all around to ensure that your time in the Tranquillity Space is as relaxing as can be. Some members are even offering services, ranging from massages to meditation, gentle exercises to a steaming hot cup of joe. Knitting classes, advice on handling emotional stress when under torture and trauma, and even some fortune-telling for light laughs.
And it's perfectly alright to drag a beanie bag to your own personal corner and just crash there for the day. No judgement from Team Tranquillity.
A message is sent out via the network to inform Hadriel's citizens of the new place in town to get away from it all. Drop by whenever, do what you need to relax and recharge. It's a stressful world out there, and sometimes we all need to take some time to chill out, right?
Welcome, to the Tranquillity Space.]

Welcome, to the Tranquillity Space.]
Anne of Austria | ota (sewing/crafting circle)
She settles herself on one of the chairs, her embroidery in her lap as she worked. The queen wore a simple dress, her hair braided back neatly, her sword stashed by her chair next to her sewing bag on the floor.
It was relaxing to work on something that was so familiar and she hoped that others would find the same peace and calm as she did. She'll even teach anyone who wishes to learn so come take a seat with her, all are welcome.]

Eventually when she has a moment alone to herself, Danse finally approaches her, a cup of hot tea in hand that he offers to her.]
Here. You've been at your sewing for quite some time. Consider a break for your fingers, miss.
[There's something about the way she holds herself, refined and graceful and poised, that gives Danse the impression that she's not your typical person. Hence, the 'miss' tacked on at the end.]
no subject
You are too kind, thank you.
[She set her work down nearby so she could take the cup. Tea was a welcome break and she had been working for longer than she had realized.]
Would you care to join me? It would be nice to have some company.
no subject
Thank you.
[His eyes flick down at her needlework; her embroidery is very fine. No doubt it's a delicate task that takes a fair amount of skill. Danse looks back up at her.]
It's Anne, right? Anne of...Austria?
[Danse had obtained the list of names of the people that Tranquillity had picked, and there's only one Anne there to match the Anne that arrived at the strategy meeting earlier this morning. It's clear though that Danse hasn't the foggiest clue that he's sitting next to royalty.]
no subject
[She doesn't mind that he doesn't recognize her as royalty. This wasn't France and she wasn't a queen here, in her view.]
I believe you are Danse, correct? I saw you during the meeting but did not have a chance to introduce myself before.
[She clasped the cup of tea in her hands, letting the warmth ease the tension in her fingers. They ached slightly after so many hours at work.]
no subject
[He had figured that the 'of Austria' bit was a kind of title. He'd been planning on calling her by her full name.]
The meeting didn't give us much time for individual introductions. It was a very last-minute, rushed affair.
[He takes a look around the library, and the sight of what they've accomplished even with that short amount of time causes a barely perceptible smile to form. He likes it when things go according to plan.]
I think we've achieved what we set out for. [A place to relax from the shenanigans in the city. He looks back at her.]
How has your knitting progressed?
no subject
[She finished her tea, setting it aside so she could pick up her work to show him.]
I've made a lot of progress since the morning. Embroidery can take some time but it is worth the patience. I know it is typically not something men do but I can teach you if you wish?
no subject
[Fine needlework is completely out of his skillset, but he feels that he owes it to Anne to at least give it a go. Still, he feels a little uncertain about it. Not that he hasn't picked up a needle and thread before, but just look at his hands; coarse hands with thick fingers, blisters on top of blisters.]
I don't know if I'm able to perform such delicate and fragile work. But if you're willing to teach, then I'm willing to try.
no subject
I've found that it's worth trying things here. I've never held a sword before in my life but I've been learning.
[And she's proud of herself for that even if the lessons leave her winded and sore.
She demonstrated a stitch for him before handing the work over to him with a smile.]
Here, try it. Not many learn the first time but I'm sure you're a quick learner.

[It shouldn't surprise Maketh to find Anne in a place like this; quiet, away from the mess of things. Maketh clears her throat.]
You know how to sew. I hadn't realized.
no subject
[Anne set her work down in her lap, smiling brightly. She was glad to see her friend here, it was nice to relax and company always made it better.]
Yes, it's one of the few things women in my position learn along with music, languages, and dance.
no subject
[The others seem useful, practical. Even sewing can be turned into a trade - showing allegiances through fabric and thread, mending wounds, things like that.]
May I sit?
no subject
[Europe is such a strange place now that she is explaining it to others, she had never thought that before since it was just the way things were.]
Of course! This is a lovely peaceful place, it's nice to get away from what is going on.
no subject
So it is ceremonial? I believe I understand. What other things must be done in your court?
no subject
[Explaing court life now sounds so strange.]
Royal courts are different by country but your rank and title dictate everything no matter which court you may be in. Rituals are important.
no subject
Does that not raise security concerns, being so easily in the public eye?
no subject
[There was a faint blush on her cheeks as she thought of Aramis for a moment before she continued.]
There will always be dangers but it's important that the King, Queen, the royal family, and the nobility be visible.

She approaches tentatively, fiddling with the blue bracelet she wears on her left wrist.]
Did you set this up?
no subject
[Anne looked up with a smile as she set her work on her lap.] I'm Anne, you are more than welcome to join me if you wish.
no subject
Sure. Thanks. I'm Jade.
no subject
[Anne notice the small smile, pleased. She took out some needles, thread, and cloth for her.] I would be more than happy to teach you.
no subject
Uh, yeah. I make a lot of my own clothes back home. With a sewing machine.
no subject
What kind of clothes have you made, Jade?
no subject
[Jade doubts there is more than one sewing place, not when the cave is so lacking in familiar stores that Jade was surprised there was a sewing shop at all. The idea's nice though. Back home, Jade always sewed alone. It'd be nice if things were different here.]
Lots of dresses and hoodies and stuff. Mostly the kind of clothes my dad and brother would never buy me. They, uh, think I wear too much black.
no subject
[She was just glad to find a place where she could keep busy and make a friend. It was relaxing and just what she needed in such a strange environment.]
Hoodies?
[She knew there was a lot that she was still learning about other worlds and times, it seemed as if there were so many things she didn't know] Is that like a cloak with a hood?
