Who: Open to everyone
What: #TeamTranquillity are in it to win it. Deciding to work together, the gang has taken over the library and converted it into a space for weary residents of Hadriel to catch their breath and just take it easy amid the intensifying competition in the city to invoke one emotion or another.
Where: The Library
When: March 15th to March 21st, duration of the event.

[Hadriel's library has unfortunately seen little use; the books are either unreadable or cover material so random that only ~~Hope~~ someone who completely did not understand the concept of fun would have picked those books. Little wonder it's hardly frequented by Hadriel's residents.

But it's still a library: meaning, it's got plenty of space, and plenty of peace and quiet.

So with all the chaos erupting over the city? It could make the perfect sanctuary, a place to take a breather from the emotion wars. A place where a person could unwind over a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, knit a sweater in peace, or even plunge themselves into pillow/blanket fort and just take a nap. A place to relax.

A place for Tranquillity.

Which is why Team Tranquillity has taken over the library and converted it into a mini R&R. Tables and chairs have been pushed to the side to allow for floor space, and comfortable chairs, sofas and even beanie bags, all in softer pastel colours, dot the empty space. A couple of tables and chairs have been left as well, so that those in need of them can use them as they'd like. And of course, the giant pillow fort bundled in one corner for people to unceremoniously throw themselves into.

The members of Team Tranquillity are all around to ensure that your time in the Tranquillity Space is as relaxing as can be. Some members are even offering services, ranging from massages to meditation, gentle exercises to a steaming hot cup of joe. Knitting classes, advice on handling emotional stress when under torture and trauma, and even some fortune-telling for light laughs.

And it's perfectly alright to drag a beanie bag to your own personal corner and just crash there for the day. No judgement from Team Tranquillity.

A message is sent out via the network to inform Hadriel's citizens of the new place in town to get away from it all. Drop by whenever, do what you need to relax and recharge. It's a stressful world out there, and sometimes we all need to take some time to chill out, right?

I am rather proud of everyone. I think even after this competition between the gods is done we still may keep this as a peaceful place to come together and relax for everyone.

[She finished her tea, setting it aside so she could pick up her work to show him.]

I've made a lot of progress since the morning. Embroidery can take some time but it is worth the patience. I know it is typically not something men do but I can teach you if you wish?

That's a good idea. Let's field it to the rest of the team later, get some feedback. Some of the others might be keen on keeping a place like this available to Hadriel's citizens.

[Fine needlework is completely out of his skillset, but he feels that he owes it to Anne to at least give it a go. Still, he feels a little uncertain about it. Not that he hasn't picked up a needle and thread before, but just look at his hands; coarse hands with thick fingers, blisters on top of blisters.]

I don't know if I'm able to perform such delicate and fragile work. But if you're willing to teach, then I'm willing to try.

[Anne picked up another piece of cloth, threaded a needle and moved closer to him so she could demonstrate.]

I've found that it's worth trying things here. I've never held a sword before in my life but I've been learning.

[And she's proud of herself for that even if the lessons leave her winded and sore.

She demonstrated a stitch for him before handing the work over to him with a smile.]

Here, try it. Not many learn the first time but I'm sure you're a quick learner.

Everyone should learn how to defend themselves. It's a good skill to learn.

[He takes the cloth carefully from her, uncertainty clouding his expression; it's not like Danse doesn't know how to sew. He's had to make quick repairs to his clothes, and sometimes people get injured on the field and a field scribe isn't around to handle those gaping wounds. But this is such a soft piece of fabric, so unlike anything he's ever handled. He's almost worried he'll tear it if he pushes and pulls the needle too hard.

But the action itself? Easy-peasy. He completes the stitch neatly and accurately.]

It's a skill I've never had to learn to do but I'm grateful to have patient instructors.

[And she was surprised that women were not only allowed to fight but that there was no prejudice against it. It was a complete change from how things were in Europe, especially for a queen.

She watched him with a smile, impressed with his patience and willingness to learn.]

You're a natural! You can try making smaller stitches to start to make shapes, just be careful it doesn't knot in back.

This isn't the first time I'm handling a needle. I've never made shapes with stitches before though. [Slowly and carefully, he begins to try and form a line of stitches for a square. It's not the same as sewing up a year on his uniform, but the concept is similar enough that he can at least manage a needle without fear of pricking his finger.]

You can try tiny stitches to fill in spaces. See what I've done? [She showed him her own work where she had filled in the flowers with tiny stitches.]

Not many men have to patience or willingness to pick up a needle so I am impressed.

It's a necessary skill. If left unattended, a small rip could easily turn into a large tear which can ruin your clothes completely. And in the event of serious injuries, it's important to know how to properly suture a wound.

[Danse observes her stitches carefully. He's impressed, and he certainly sounds it too.]

But I've really never done anything with that much detail. I'm struggling to fit that many stitches in. How do you keep the threads from getting tangled with each other?

Pull it flat in back. That prevents knots from forming in the back of your work as well and keeps it all neat.

[She turned over her work to show him while pulling through a stitch.

Are you a soldier? I can't imagine having to stitch up a wound, you must have a great deal of fortitude

Understood. [After observing her demonstration, he tries to do as she did for his next few stitches. Her question has him tense though, and his eyes leave his stitching to look up to her, his hands pausing so that he won't accidentally get too distracted while answering and prick himself instead.

I used to be one. But I was...discharged. [Dishonorably. More like sentenced to death, and then having his sentence changed to an exile with a "shoot-upon-sight" order.

It's definitely a sensitive topic.]

I apologize, it must be a difficult topic for you. [Anne reached out to touch his arm with sympathy. She didn't want to bring sorrow and grief into this tranquil place.]

Your stitching is very well done, you are welcome to keep the project and I can provide you with some more colors if you like.

No apology required, Miss Anne. [A small smile, flashed and forced, is his weak cover-up of how he truly feels about the matter before he returns back to the work at hand, completing a couple more stitches. He's about halfway to a square right now.]

I'd like that very much. It's different from what I normally do for recreation, but its effect on me is no less relaxing.

It would be nice to have someone to sew with. Back home I had my ladies for company but they were not much for conversation.

[For many years she had struggled with her French and her ladies were not sympathetic to a Spanish princess.]
