Who: Open to everyone
What: #TeamTranquillity are in it to win it. Deciding to work together, the gang has taken over the library and converted it into a space for weary residents of Hadriel to catch their breath and just take it easy amid the intensifying competition in the city to invoke one emotion or another.
Where: The Library
When: March 15th to March 21st, duration of the event.
Warnings: Will Update if necessary!
[Hadriel's library has unfortunately seen little use; the books are either unreadable or cover material so random that onlyHope someone who completely did not understand the concept of fun would have picked those books. Little wonder it's hardly frequented by Hadriel's residents.
But it's still a library: meaning, it's got plenty of space, and plenty of peace and quiet.
So with all the chaos erupting over the city? It could make the perfect sanctuary, a place to take a breather from the emotion wars. A place where a person could unwind over a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, knit a sweater in peace, or even plunge themselves into pillow/blanket fort and just take a nap. A place to relax.
A place for Tranquillity.
Which is why Team Tranquillity has taken over the library and converted it into a mini R&R. Tables and chairs have been pushed to the side to allow for floor space, and comfortable chairs, sofas and even beanie bags, all in softer pastel colours, dot the empty space. A couple of tables and chairs have been left as well, so that those in need of them can use them as they'd like. And of course, the giant pillow fort bundled in one corner for people to unceremoniously throw themselves into.
The members of Team Tranquillity are all around to ensure that your time in the Tranquillity Space is as relaxing as can be. Some members are even offering services, ranging from massages to meditation, gentle exercises to a steaming hot cup of joe. Knitting classes, advice on handling emotional stress when under torture and trauma, and even some fortune-telling for light laughs.
And it's perfectly alright to drag a beanie bag to your own personal corner and just crash there for the day. No judgement from Team Tranquillity.
A message is sent out via the network to inform Hadriel's citizens of the new place in town to get away from it all. Drop by whenever, do what you need to relax and recharge. It's a stressful world out there, and sometimes we all need to take some time to chill out, right?
Welcome, to the Tranquillity Space.]

Whatever the case may be, Ravine remains unfaltering in face of Marian's tense, studying stare.
"We had a slight setback when some jokesters thought to play a rather impractical joke, but that's all been settled."
Somehow, she has a feeling that inspiring any chill in the people here is going to be easier said than done.
no subject
"Oh. Good. Ah, you know, I don't think I caught your name... before?" Marian offers a little uncertainly, still feeling out the situation, squinting a little.
no subject
"I am called Ravine," she replies, somehow indicating it less to be a name and more... something else. "Are you still going to just stand there, professor? It's okay, I don't bite."
She also doesn't mind being the one having to crane her head to look up at someone for a change.
no subject
Her heartbeat rises, holding her breath. This was a mistake but it's too late, she's here now. Now what is she going to do?
no subject
At least, Ravine contradicts the latter part when she slides the glasses from her face, allowing for more personable conversation for the most part.
"Though I'm aware that most people tend to be uneasy when they meet me, you can relax. I don't mean anyone here harm."
Which begs to question what intentions she does have.
no subject
"Anyone here?" she questions. "What do you want, then?" Just finish up with... whatever nonsense this is and get back to trying to track down where she needs to go, and what she needs to do to make that yellow light go away.
no subject
In truth, Ravine so rarely ever intends to do one harm. Rather she just happens to be there during a difficult transition.
She leans in, hand under her chin when she notes Marian's disquiet. What does the yellow light mean? she wants to ask, but is fairly certain that it would result in the opposite of what she is trying to aim for here.
Instead, she inquires something more pressing. "I am not here for me -- I'm here for you. There's a reason you came here, yes? Perhaps I have the answer."
no subject
Perhaps she had talked (or would talk, by her own chronology) to someone else here earlier.. or just been seen passing through. Observation was the key, after all. Maybe that was all it had been. But then how did Ravine know her name, profession?
"Not likely. But feel free to go ahead. Tell me whatever answer you think you have," she says sourly, pulling back just as little as Ravine leans in, skeptical.
no subject
Ravine moves to gesture to her own wrist, indicating the device that's on Marian's.
no subject
Weighing her options carefully, Marian's response is less surprised and more definitively cautious. The less said the better. "...Something like that." After all, she thinks, Ravine doesn't seem to understand it exactly; it's the kind of description that someone who waves everything off as 'magic' might give, rather than the technical explanation, an indicator of some as-yet unresolved timeline conflict.
no subject
"Marian Tenebris," Ravine says, the silken weight in her accent speaking those two words more like a title than a name. "I am very conversant with the consequences of altering paths to a crumbling future. That may not be the case with whatever's at the end of that yellow dot, but I do know a thing or two."
You know. About things.
no subject
"Enlighten me, then. What exactly is your experience? I'd be very interested in hearing about these 'one or two' things you know," she says, still unsure, but at least willing to listen.
no subject
Sometimes, people's fates come in the form of threads. There are those who have more than others, and some...
There are some who don't have any of those things, but 'worms'.
"Do you like to travel?" Ravine asks innocuously.
no subject
Marian narrows her eyes a bit at Ravine's explanation. But this is a solid explanation for the conversation so far and, like the entities she'd seen... perhaps the rules are different for her, as far as interaction with the spatiotemporal waveform. For whatever unknown or as yet inexplicable reason.
"Get to the point."
no subject
Not that form of travel, that is -- and certainly not in the way that Marian's experience has affected her. She's afflicted, that much Ravine can see amid all of the many, many writhing possibilities.
She looks down at her folded pair of sunglasses, tapping them over the surface of the table. Unfortunately, she knows that, depending on how she goes about this, her answer may result in the opposite of what she intends to do here. Her purpose has shifted now that the endgame has altered playing field.
"You're looking for a space-time abnormality, are you not?" Ravine asks, her tones remaining plain and pleasant. "I may not have holes in my face, but I can see how it would be cause for concern for those who have reason to."
no subject
Just how she knows it or why she knows it isn't clear.
"Can you? If what you're saying is true, I'd imagine that kind of thing isn't very important to someone like you. Or do you think you're trying to help?"
no subject
Although one could easily argue whether or not Ravine is considered 'people'. By standard definition, in any case. (Spoilers: She's not really people.)
"Ah, I make an effort not to intervene on any fate-altering courses. A bit of advice never hurts, though -- provided that you know how much and how little to divulge." Riiight.
no subject
"'Divulge' what you see fit and then... I think I'll be going," she says flatly.
