Who: Open to everyone
What: #TeamTranquillity are in it to win it. Deciding to work together, the gang has taken over the library and converted it into a space for weary residents of Hadriel to catch their breath and just take it easy amid the intensifying competition in the city to invoke one emotion or another.
Where: The Library
When: March 15th to March 21st, duration of the event.
Warnings: Will Update if necessary!

[Hadriel's library has unfortunately seen little use; the books are either unreadable or cover material so random that only ~~Hope~~ someone who completely did not understand the concept of fun would have picked those books. Little wonder it's hardly frequented by Hadriel's residents.

But it's still a library: meaning, it's got plenty of space, and plenty of peace and quiet.

So with all the chaos erupting over the city? It could make the perfect sanctuary, a place to take a breather from the emotion wars. A place where a person could unwind over a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, knit a sweater in peace, or even plunge themselves into pillow/blanket fort and just take a nap. A place to relax.

A place for Tranquillity.

Which is why Team Tranquillity has taken over the library and converted it into a mini R&R. Tables and chairs have been pushed to the side to allow for floor space, and comfortable chairs, sofas and even beanie bags, all in softer pastel colours, dot the empty space. A couple of tables and chairs have been left as well, so that those in need of them can use them as they'd like. And of course, the giant pillow fort bundled in one corner for people to unceremoniously throw themselves into.

The members of Team Tranquillity are all around to ensure that your time in the Tranquillity Space is as relaxing as can be. Some members are even offering services, ranging from massages to meditation, gentle exercises to a steaming hot cup of joe. Knitting classes, advice on handling emotional stress when under torture and trauma, and even some fortune-telling for light laughs.

And it's perfectly alright to drag a beanie bag to your own personal corner and just crash there for the day. No judgement from Team Tranquillity.

A message is sent out via the network to inform Hadriel's citizens of the new place in town to get away from it all. Drop by whenever, do what you need to relax and recharge. It's a stressful world out there, and sometimes we all need to take some time to chill out, right?

Thank you, but I don't believe so. I have only come to take a break from this competition for a while, and perhaps a knitting class as well. I hope this tournament has not treated you poorly?

It has been...manageable. [He got pelted with rotten eggs in the morning. Not the worse thing to happen to him so far, but it was an annoyance. There was also this little goat kid that got in his way while shouting something about puzzles. A little goat kid that actually looks a little like mini Asgore, minus the mane, the beard and the horns. Then there was irritation incarnate in the form of Jacob Frye, but again, nothing too bad. That man knew how to needle someone to the very brink of their sanity, but otherwise no one's done anything particularly mean just yet.]

I'm pleasantly surprised that no one has tried to disrupt the peace in the library yet. [~~Ha. Ha ha. Ha.~~]

I would not be surprised. It would be a kind thing, to leave one place for those who wish no part in it...but we are all supporting Tranquility even in this, are we not?

[He sips his tea, not apparently ruffled to support a god not his patron. Or maybe he is with Tranquility? He's not wearing a visible bracelet.]

[Danse isn't wearing a bracelet either; if no one knows which team he's on, maybe some might be unwilling to target a potential team mate and just leave him alone while he's out there on the streets. But since Asgore wasn't on the list of team mates that Tranquillity had given him, Danse knows that the someone else picked the king.]

I'd rather Tranquillity, Delight or Hope wins this competition than any of the other four. [Danse replies, matter-of-fact.] Tranquillity isn't going to stick his neck out for us, but at least he's expressed his intentions to keep us comfortable here. Causing trouble is the last thing he'd want to do.

I have heard that there is a god of Love to come soon, as well?

The final god to be revived.

[Danse fights back a bitter smile. Love. He could really, really do without Love and heartbreak, thanks.]

Tranquillity seems to think she's harmless. I can only hope this isn't another case of him having a completely different understanding of what counts as "harmless" to the rest of us.

[He's not filled with much hope about it though. Tranquillity is the guy who seems quite clueless about by the kind of suffering people were going through. Or maybe he does know, but he just isn't willing to get involved.]

I suppose that is not surprising. They must be very different beings from us.

[He slightly questions the god label from a sort of theological standpoint, but obviously they're powerful enough to be beyond the kind of concerns everyone else has.]

If I may ask, what was the first case?

He had a public conversation with your fellow monster on the network.

Either he thinks Confusion's tricks are genuinely harmless, or he completely does not understand that emotional and mental trauma are long-lasting and can damage a person in worse ways than a physical wound.

Ah yes, on the Internet...

[Does this look like the face of a monster who regularly uses the Internet? He is five million years old.]

Do people often spend time with them? Perhaps they may yet learn how to better relate with us.

[Anything resembling a city-wide network has not existed for 200+ years in the Commonwealth, but Danse has made it a priority to figure out how the darn thing works. Get with the times old man!

The king's question is an interesting one though.]

I don't believe they do. General opinion of the gods is almost always leaning towards the negative.

That is certainly understandable. But if no one ever tries to make overtures, it is very unlikely that things will ever change.

Most would argue that the onus should be on the gods to reach out to us first and win our trust, since it was a god that brought us here in the first place.

I'll concede that Hope and Delight have tried to figure out the Door to send back those that seek to return home, but to my understanding there was no forewarning of the matter, and their experiments with the Door released monsters on an unprepared population.

I cannot argue that - it certainly should not be our responsibility to maintain communication. But if they will not, then it is up to us, if that is what we want. The fact that they do not understand us well enough to see the need for such a thing is just another sign of the problem.

Perhaps, were there more regular dialogues, they would better see the reasons for keeping us informed.

[Danse crosses his arms and regards the king with one raised eyebrow. He's heard all this talk of dialogue and understanding before, but the results have been...mixed, to say the least.]

...noble aspirations, but I personally think you're too optimistic. Hadriel isn't lacking an opinionated crowd, and after a year of inhabiting the same space, it's hard to imagine that the gods have not been able to improve their understanding of the people here. Anyone could just look through the response in Sorrow's anonymous post to know that there's a lot of unhappiness in Hadriel, and why.

...but this is not my first experience being trapped like this. We must keep whatever hope alive that we can. It is the only way to survive.

[Now that's new information, and replaces Danse's earlier expression with one that's more sombre.]

Your skeleton subject mentioned a war to me in passing. Is, or was, your imprisonment related to that?

[Ah, did he? Asgore is, a little selfishly, glad for it. The war is an old subject by now, but that doesn't mean he especially enjoys recounting that history to everyone he meets. It's...depressing.]

It was the end result. That was millenia before Sans's time, but monsters are still suffering for it.

A millenia. [That's...something. A millenia of being stuck in an underground cave. Danse has only been here for a month or so and he's already missing the sky and the stars. The things you take for granted; if he'd known that he would be whisked away to an Underground prison, Danse would've taken more time to appreciate the sky above his head.

It certainly begs the question on what prompted the war and the subsequent imprisonment of monsters. But Danse is watching the old king, and he can tell that it's a touchy subject. He'll have to ask Sans later.]

You should speak with Hope then. He could use the pointers on keeping the people's spirits alive.

[Danse lets out a sigh, still trying to wrap his mind around that. A millenia. Asgore might have never even seen the sky in all his life.]

I'll defer to your judgment. You definitely have more experience on living trapped in an underground than I have.

I am...glad, I suppose, if that experience can be useful to the people here. It is a difficult thing to come to terms with under any circumstances

[Danse will remain blissfully unaware of the measures that Asgore took for the sake of his people.]

"The only source of knowledge is experience". You could choose to let your bitter experiences weigh you down, or you could use them to inform and uplift others instead.

[It's a bleak Commonwealth world out there. You have to get your strength from somewhere.]

If you're truly going to speak with any of the gods, then it might be a good idea to start with the ones that have taken some interest in our well-being. They could stand to learn a bit more about diplomacy from you.
