Event Log: Party Royale

What: The event log for the Party Royale event

Warnings: Paintball, loss of consciousness, and partying!

As is par for the course in Hadriel, at some point throughout the day- waking up, making breakfast, doing laundry- you find an item. This isn't just any item though, it's a tried and true paintball gun, shining and just waiting to be picked up. This gun never runs out of ammunition, never malfunctions, and almost always hits the target that you're aiming at, so say hello to your new best friend for the next week.

Touching or picking up the gun will fill you with a competitive surge, which will likely increase when you find the note that's left with it, saying nothing more than be the last one standing. With instructions like that, how could you lose?

Well, you could lose if someone else shoots you. But never fear, there's a plan for that too! Even if you embrace the throes of unconsciousness, the gods have got your back and will eventually teleport you into a grand party where prizes will be handed out based on how long you survived. Awesome! At this party is also the traditional copious amounts of food and drink, as well as everyone's favorite goddess Delight and everyone's slightly-less-favorite goddess Rage!

"That is a very good plan," Maketh murmurs, settling against Rey. She can have this, can't she? Just for a moment. "You think ahead. We all ought to."

[circumitus]

Rey scoffs.

"Yes, well. I sort of have to. There aren't that many people around who could drag my drunk ass out of here."

[mismanagement]

Maketh opens her eyes briefly, reaching up to flick at Rey's hair. "Oh, my. I believe you just told a joke."

[circumitus]

"Only if you're easily amused," Rey retorts.

And Maketh is drunk, or at least very, very buzzed. That tends to help.

[mismanagement]

Maketh grins up at her. "I'm almost drunk. Does that count?"

[circumitus]

Does it? Rey pretends to think hard on that, before leaning in. Close enough to maybe kiss, but she sniffs a couple times instead.

"Yes, you definitely smell like you're getting there."

Smartass.

[mismanagement]

Maketh leans up a little, expecting something, and pouts when it doesn't come. "You are a horrible tease."

[circumitus]

She barks a laugh, bringing her fingers through Maketh's hair.

"Don't know what you're talking about."

[mismanagement]

Maketh huffs at her, though she tips her head against Rey's hand. It feels nice. Comforting. "I think you do."

[circumitus]

Her nose crinkles a little.

"Maybe. What're you going to do about it?"

[mismanagement]

"Hmm."

Maketh tips her head to the side. Then, quite deliberately, she reaches up and bops Rey on the nose.

[circumitus]

Oh, she did not just go for the nose!

Rey feigns shock before taking Maketh's side. See if there's any sign that she might be ticklish. Take that, you knave.

[mismanagement]

She diiiiid.

Maketh has a moment to gloat before Rey counterattacks and discovers that Maketh is, indeed, very ticklish. "Oh, you--! You are terrible!"

[circumitus]

Just to make sure Maketh does try to wiggle her way out, Rey traps the other woman in her arms as she continues her attack.

"You should know better than to wage war with me. It's my job to find my enemies' weaknesses."

She's a mean killing machine.

[mismanagement]

Maketh pouts up at Rey. "My revenge will be swift and dedicated. You do know this, don't you?"

[circumitus]

Maketh is fortunate she is so damn cute. Rey ceases her assault for now, giving her a slight squeeze in her arms.

"That so? Then I look forward to it."

[mismanagement]

That is quite the expression. Maketh quips a smile, tipping her head to the side. "You would. You are incorrigible."

[circumitus]

"What does that say about you, then?" Rey grins. "Guess that means you've got your work cut out for you."

God knows she makes hardly anything easy. For anyone.

[mismanagement]

Maketh has to laugh at that, reaching up to fuss with Rey's hair. Just a little. "I accept the challenge. Gladly, even."

[circumitus]

Hair ruffles, oh no! Rey snorts.

"Not sure about that. It's hard to tell if you've proven yourself worthy."

Them's fighting words.

[mismanagement]

"Is it?" Maketh grins up at her. "What must I do, then?"

[circumitus]

Rather than offering an answer of any sort, Rey just responds by bringing her hand over the back of Maketh's head, fingers in her hair, before finally placing that kiss where it belongs.

[mismanagement]

Maketh closes her eyes with a pleased hum, reaching up to trace the line of Rey's cheek with her thumb.

Yes. This is how it should be.

[circumitus]

With a slight smirk, she pulls back. Just a bit.

"Something tells me you were waiting for that."

[mismanagement]

Maketh leaves her hand where it is. She likes Rey's expression then. The softness in her eyes. "Oh, was I? Perhaps. But I am a cunning strategist."
