Event Log: Party Royale

Warnings: Paintball, loss of consciousness, and partying!

As is par for the course in Hadriel, at some point throughout the day- waking up, making breakfast, doing laundry- you find an item. This isn't just any item though, it's a tried and true paintball gun, shining and just waiting to be picked up. This gun never runs out of ammunition, never malfunctions, and almost always hits the target that you're aiming at, so say hello to your new best friend for the next week.

Touching or picking up the gun will fill you with a competitive surge, which will likely increase when you find the note that's left with it, saying nothing more than be the last one standing. With instructions like that, how could you lose?

Well, you could lose if someone else shoots you. But never fear, there's a plan for that too! Even if you embrace the throes of unconsciousness, the gods have got your back and will eventually teleport you into a grand party where prizes will be handed out based on how long you survived. Awesome! At this party is also the traditional copious amounts of food and drink, as well as everyone's favorite goddess Delight and everyone's slightly-less-favorite goddess Rage!

We have these to remember our time in the war. [ Cecily sighs, faux-wistful. ] Though I think there were other prizes... were you given anything, Lup?

[ Not a jacket, then, but the other woman may have survived for longer than Cecily and Kate. Cecily thinks that most people should have done better, since she'd never seen a... 'paintball gun' ever before in her life, but it doesn't appear that she'd come in last in the rankings. ]

[Kate is probably already groaning, knowing exactly what's going to happen next.

Lup's hand drops back behind her before she produces a gun, for the second time that night, holding it right over her head, waving it along with the beat of the music.] Not as easy to coordinate outfits with as your jacket, but pretty choice, right?

( Yeah, the hand she doesn't have around a bottle is definitely pressed against her face at this. Lup looks like she's trying for her very first heist right now, lord, and she has to wonder if they're not going to end up with some overly twitchy resident thinking their life is at risk again. She's gonna let Cecily take this one, honestly. )

Is that - [ She half-laughs, surprised, but also looks... well, somewhat concerned. ] Andraste's tits, be careful.

[ She doesn't have to be a gun expert to know that weapons and alcohol (and weapons and dancing) don't mix well. ]

Relax, [Lup yells over the music before bursting into laughter, giving the gun another wave for good measure before sticking it back into the waistband of her pants.] It's not loaded, I'm not an idiot! Currently it's just a fashion accessory.

One that tells handsy men to back the fuck off.

( Y'know, come to think of it, that's one thing she's had relatively little trouble with in Hadriel. Actually, make that none, because she can't think of an occasion where it's been necessary. )

Knee to th' nuts works pretty well for that.

( S h r u g. She says that like someone who's done it before, because of course she has. )
