Event Log: Party Royale

What: The event log for the Party Royale event
Where: All over the city!
When: September 22nd-29th
Warnings: Paintball, loss of consciousness, and partying!

As is par for the course in Hadriel, at some point throughout the day- waking up, making breakfast, doing laundry- you find an item. This isn't just any item though, it's a tried and true paintball gun, shining and just waiting to be picked up. This gun never runs out of ammunition, never malfunctions, and almost always hits the target that you're aiming at, so say hello to your new best friend for the next week.

Touching or picking up the gun will fill you with a competitive surge, which will likely increase when you find the note that's left with it, saying nothing more than be the last one standing. With instructions like that, how could you lose?

Well, you could lose if someone else shoots you. But never fear, there's a plan for that too! Even if you embrace the throes of unconsciousness, the gods have got your back and will eventually teleport you into a grand party where prizes will be handed out based on how long you survived. Awesome! At this party is also the traditional copious amounts of food and drink, as well as everyone's favorite goddess Delight and everyone's slightly-less-favorite goddess Rage!

[ now look at thing's going over Dean's head ] Magical skills? I thought you were saying this guy was king of the biker gangs.

And yeah, meet Jo not too long ago. Turns out she was a friend of the family and I never knew it.

[ well, friend in a loose term. Papa Winchester did get Jo's dad killed on a hunt, so. There were a few bridges to mend. ]

In some worlds, one can be a biker and still have magic. [ The Fëanorians, Curufin's family, were the biker gang of their world! -- minus the motorcycles. They had to make do with horses. But they certainly had magic. ]

[ Dean would certainly qualify! XD ]

Friend of the family? But how did you meet?

Well, in mine, using magic isn't something we usually just wave around out in the open. Not if you want to live.

[ yeah, burning witches at the stake is still a thing that happens. Sometimes. Now usually it was just hunters like Dean that took them out when they started to dabble into the really dark, demonic stuff. But hey! that was their choice, not Dean's. If they didn't want to get caught, they shouldn't do it in the first place. ]

Ah, well. As for how we met Jo... Let's just say we found an old voice mail message on our Dad's phone after he died and thought we should figure out why someone was calling him. For our trouble, I ended up getting punched in the face by Jo just for walking into a bar.

Ah, you fear the darker uses of magic! But are all magics considered to be dark ones, in your world? Good thing we Elves don't live there, if that's the case!

Was it Jo's bar? [ Smile. ]

Seriously? Elves? Please tell me you're joking.

[ that's all he needs. If Gandalf comes walking through Hadriel's revolving door, he might just have to geek out shoot himself. ]

And it wasn't her bar. It was her mom's.

Nope. I'm an Elf.

[ A bit of a grin. You couldn't have known that, really. He doesn't have the really obvious ears that some of his kindred have -- his are rounded with just a suggestion of a point, just as some human ears are. And aside from the brilliance of his eyes, there really are no telltale markers. And geeking out is definitely preferable! ]

And did Jo's mother punch you in the face, too? [ Any self-respecting Elvish mother would have! ]
