Intro Log: Clever Girls

What: The intro log for November
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: November 10th-15th
Warnings: Sick beats.

You wake up, confused and alone and maybe a little chilly if you forgot your coat. You're on the floor of a large arena, and above you, stretching up high, is the stone ceiling trapping you in this city. Welcome to Hadriel! You'll have a great time here.

Provided you manage to escape the pack of velociraptors that have arrived with you. They seem to have gotten used to this place a little faster than the rest of the new arrivals - or maybe they're just hungry. They're scary, smart, and very fast - plus they've got those cool three-inch claws designed specifically to tear their prey open. Add to that teeth, muscles, and plenty of clever pack tactics, and you might be in a little bit of trouble.

Maybe you can distract them with a little music, though? Scattered around the arena, you can find some stereos and boom boxes. They won't pick up any radio stations, just static, but don't worry! If you're jonesing for a good tune, you can find some CDs and good old fashioned cassette tapes lying around, too. Everything you need for a sweet dance party! Maybe the velociraptors will be into it. Or maybe you'll just get eaten.

If you manage to avoid being chewed on by sharp teeth, and get out of the colosseums, there's plenty to do. Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[Yusuke certainly feels terrible for the plight of a child being dragged here -- and angry, too, that the Door would take him. It must be terrifying for him to be here on his own. So his expression is sympathetic as he offers a response.]

I haven't heard of Domino City, nor that company. I apologise. I'm from a place called Tokyo, in Japan. Have you heard of it?

And... are you really suggesting this has happened to you before?

Yeah. Domino is in Japan. At least, my Japan. Tokyo is too. [He knows by now that Domino doesn't exist in every universe's Japan.]

Unfortunately, yeah. This is the third time.

I see. This is the first time it's happened to me...

[Maybe the second time if one counts the Metaverse, but Mokuba doesn't need to know about any of that. The Metaverse is something he can enter and exit willingly, anyway.]

He's the president of the company. He's also my brother.

I'm sorry I can't provide more reassurance than that. I know it's difficult to be without family.

I think so. This isn't the first time I've been on my own. I just got here so I don't know any adults yet but... I'm sure I'll be fine.

It seems like there's little systemic effort in this place to see to it that minors are properly cared for, but I'm... hardly surprised by that fact.

[Adults are about as dependable here as they are back home for Yusuke, so it's nothing new. Just like back home, he trusts his friends here with his wellbeing more than anyone else.]

So you're Kaiba-kun, yes? I'm Yusuke Kitagawa.

I'm not either. This place sounds like it's more like the first place I was at... and people had enough on their minds trying to make sure they stayed alive when crazy things happened.

Mokuba. [Nobody ever calls him by his last name, it's almost always what people call Seto instead.] Nice to meet you, Kitagawa.
