You wake up, confused and alone and maybe a little chilly if you forgot your coat. You're on the floor of a large arena, and above you, stretching up high, is the stone ceiling trapping you in this city. Welcome to Hadriel! You'll have a great time here.
Provided you manage to escape the pack of velociraptors that have arrived with you. They seem to have gotten used to this place a little faster than the rest of the new arrivals - or maybe they're just hungry. They're scary, smart, and very fast - plus they've got those cool three-inch claws designed specifically to tear their prey open. Add to that teeth, muscles, and plenty of clever pack tactics, and you might be in a little bit of trouble.
Maybe you can distract them with a little music, though? Scattered around the arena, you can find some stereos and boom boxes. They won't pick up any radio stations, just static, but don't worry! If you're jonesing for a good tune, you can find some CDs and good old fashioned cassette tapes lying around, too. Everything you need for a sweet dance party! Maybe the velociraptors will be into it. Or maybe you'll just get eaten.
If you manage to avoid being chewed on by sharp teeth, and get out of the colosseums, there's plenty to do. Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers November 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Beverly Marsh - OPEN!
[Beverly's hand is braced against the rough rock of a crumbling wall. Her other hand is clenched tight around a key that hangs on a cord around her neck. She forces herself to take a deep breath, then another, to shut her eyes and then open them again as if willing the weird underground arena she's found herself in to disappear, to be some weird dream that she's having trouble shaking.
Of course, it isn't, and another deep breath has her picking up her resolve and moving. She's a little slip of a thing, all skinny teenage limbs and a mess of red curls cut short around her face. There's confusion on her face, uncertainty. But Bev is not panicking, at least.
What she doesn't know, that might tip the scale towards panic is that she's currently being stalked as dinner. The raptor (and she's lucky it's currently a lone hunter) currently has the teenager in its sights, and it's following her, keeping hidden in the shadows and behind the crumbling outcroppings of rocks and walls, silently. Well, silent until it dislodges a bit of debris and Bev whips around quickly.]
Who's there?!
[But she doesn't see anyone. Or anything, yet.]
(( Option 1b - Chasing ))
[It's only through sheer dumb luck that Beverly catches sight of the dinosaur thing. She's running for all she's worth right now, darting in between doorways, around walls.
Somewhere along the line she's found herself a boombox, but rather than using it to jam, she's wielding it like a bludgeoning weapon, by the handle, swinging it at the raptor that is getting way too close.]
Get the hell away from me!
[A narrow dodge has her catching one of those wicked claws across her bicep, but the cut is shallow, thankfully. It does however draw an enraged yell from the redhead who slams the boombox into the raptor's face. ...before shrieking and running while the animal shakes its head -- dazed and surprised that the tiny pale thing managed to hit it with Hello Kitty. But it's already back in pursuit.]
(( Option 2 - [VIDEO POST] ))
[Bev has never seen a smartphone in her life. Wrong decade for Jurassic Park. Even wronger decade for cellphones. But she's played video games, is a bright enough kid, and with a bit of fumbling through, she manages to get it on and going.
There's a momentary hesitation because really who the hell is out there listening. But still. She offers a hesitant smile.]
Can anybody hear this? I hope I'm not just talking to myself. This thing is kinda weird.
[Really more than kinda. Anyway. A shake of her head.] Anyone know if there's somewhere I can find first aid supplies? Just some bandages and maybe some antiseptic or something. Maybe a blanket?
[Someone got a little scratched and bitten up in dinosaur alley.] Dinosaurs can't have rabies, right?
Option 2
We have a clinic in town that can help you. Where are you at now? I'll meet you there and take you to it.
As for your other question, I'm honestly not sure. I don't know what dinosaurs are.

Keep it down, genius! They can hear us, you know!
[He dips beneath the outcropping with her, peeking around the edge and scanning for any signs of movement. None yet. But these velociraptors probably heard one or both of them. Quietly, he continues speaking to this new girl, who he's pretty sure was never a camper at Camp Campbell, though she could be from one of the neighboring camps.]
Listen. I scouted around and found an exit not far from here, but we've got to move if we wanna get to it, and we've got to be quiet. These fucking things are probably surrounding us right now. You watch my back, I'll watch yours, and we'll both hopefully not get eaten by giant mutant murder lizards. Sound good?

But at least dinosaurs are more susceptible to bullets than the giant robot crabs had been, and so Lance isn't completely uselss on the foray into the arena this month. Still, although he'd gone into the arena he'd still quickly had to duck back into the tunnels during the initial confusion, in order to evade one of the dinosaurs, and so is just getting back to the main part of the arena when he hears the yelling and shrieking. Not that he blames whoever it is--these things are terrifying, geez--but he heads toward the sound, suddenly encountering a little girl with red hair.
Before he can even address her, though, there's another dinosaur. Lance raises his gun and fires, but it's just on reflex since there's no time to aim; it hits, but isn't a good shot by any means and won't slow the thing down for long. Still, it's enough to buy them a moment, and Lance quickly turns toward Beverly.]

Still she keeps the screen tilted toward the ground, her desire to help only going so far against the paranoia this place brings.]
Leave a wound open too long and rabies is that last thing you gotta worry 'bout. Cut up some of your cloth to cover it up quick. Or you can always burn it shut, if you think it's too deep and gonna fester.

Whoa--
[He dodges to the side, to let her pass, and spots the dino she's running from. He caught a glimpse of her smacking it with the radio, which he was silently impressed about, but now it's, as some robots would say, hero time.
Magnus whistles and, seemingly out of nowhere, a creature that looks half lizard and half dog comes bounding in from nowhere, barks once, and pounces the raptor. She seems to take advantage of her smaller build to climb around it, biting and tearing where it can't reach to fight back.]
Good girl, Peanut! I'm so proud!!
[He calls to the young girl who was running from the dinosaur.]
Look! She takes after her papa!

*zzzzpppp*
[The raptor drops, and it's definitely not got wires inside it. Her leader instincts kick in. She does wish John was here, but she's not exactly afraid to take charge if she can even on her own. She steps back, gun still aimed, occasionally glancing to the people around her.]
Get behind me and follow me if you want to live! Hopefully I can find a way out.
Max - OTA
[Max gets attacked faster than some of the other newcomers. He is smaller, weighed down by a duffel bag, and probably seems like an easier target to a velociraptor. With three of the beasts encircling him, Max does the only thing he can do: grab a heavy, sharp-cornered metal boombox and start swinging it like a club. He fells one before it can strike, a gush of blood streaming from its skull - a lucky hit that probably saves Max's life. He ducks under the claws of one and manages to crawl out of the way when the other attempts to pin him. They may be fast and clever, but Max has the maneuverability edge that makes him just the slightest bit faster as he books it out of the Colosseum.
He's a little bruised, and he's got a nasty-looking scrape on his jaw, but he manages to clamber up a steep rocky outcropping that, upon closer inspection, might be a tourelle from one of the ruined Spires nearby. Thankfully he has something to entertain himself with: Fuck Tha Police by NWA on cassette, which oddly enough seems to have come already in the boombox. Oh, and shouting down at the velociraptors stalking him, because why the hell not.]
Good luck getting up here without opposable thumbs, shitstains! Stupid lizards.
B. A Quiet Moment
[Now that the velociraptors have pretty much been dealt with by the other denizens of this weird-ass cave, Max can be found with his back to a ruined structure, sitting on his duffel bag next to his new bloodied weapon. He's busy currently typing in numbers on the phone he found in his pocket. First he tries his parents-- no answer. Of course not. Well, perhaps it can get a signal out to the police?-- no answer. Max scowls at the phone, curling up on his duffel and generally trying to look as unapproachable as possible while he fiddles with it. There's a picture and a text file on his phone, but he doesn't want to go opening them just yet. It's probably some stupid bullshit thing Pikeman set up, like giving him instructions if he wants to survive or something. The Woodscouts are fucking crazy, and he wouldn't put it past them to pull a kidnapping horror plot for revenge.]
Think, Max, think.
[He mutters to himself for a few more moments before he goes back to the call screen. He pauses, staring at the phone... and then dials David's number on a whim.
No answer.]
God dammit!
[He stuffs his phone in his hoodie pocket and pulls his hood up, glaring at everything in this weird place while he tries to figure out where he is, and more importantly, how the hell he can get out of this.]
B!
On your guard, lad. This city hides some corrupt fellows- sh-shit!
[ Malkus rolled his ankle over a piece of rubble, shattering any sort of appearance he was going for. He toppled, falling to his knees in startled pain. The birdman clutched at his leg and hissed a few cusses. ]

The Girl | Open
[She climbs the rubble a quick as she can, ignoring the sharp pains of the cat currently digging his claws into her shoulder. She doesn’t have time to consider how tightly she must be squeezing him or how scared he must be. Not with that thing chasing behind them. Girl’s scared too. She’s had more than her fair share of guns shoved in her face since, well, always; she’s known fear like the embrace of an old friend. But her enemies had always been human, not creatures with teeth and claws. She’d almost think this was just a nightmare if the sting of rock under her palm didn’t give away this was real.]
Shit. Shit, shit!
[It doesn’t take her long to reach the top of her debris pile, which was worrisome with how quick she sees those things move. She curses herself for leaving all her weapons at the mailbox. Maybe Cherri’s sword could have put some distance between them and death’s door. Girl crawls on top of the pile, holding the cat above her. The thing is close, jumping up rocks more nimbly than she could. She waits until it’s nearly atop her, kicking out hard enough to catch its nose and knock it off balance. It slips down the rubble, scattering rocks and making her perch wobble. Her cat yowls, terrified and the hysteria building in her chest agrees. Girl just can’t find the will to scream, afraid that if she starts she won’t be able to stop.
She blindly wraps her hand around a rock. The thing won’t take long to get back up, but she can’t give up without a fight.]
B. LAKE
[She still aches from trying to outrun those creatures, knees and hands banged up from her desperate climb. Her shoulders sting from the claw marks, most from her pet and the rest being stubbornly ignored. She’d meant to walk as far as she could see despite the pain, get the lay of the land so she could plan a way out. Girl finds herself stalling anyway, less from a need to rest and more from wonder. She’s never seen so much water in one place.]
Do you think it’s a mirage?
[Girl talks to the cat that she carries across her shoulders, getting nothing but a headbutt in return. She’s afraid to go close to the lake without a good argument against her theory. It’s not hot enough here for the hallucinations she heard about in the desert, but enough strange things have happened today that she’s not willing to rule it out.
She walks a few steps parallel to the shoreline, staying several feet from the water. She knows someone’s coming up on her, senses on high alert since the run in with the raptors. Besides, her pet is tensing up and that a sure sign they’ve got company. Girl tears her eyes away to give the newcomer attention, arms crossing and uncrossing from her stomach. She picks at dried blood on her palm.]
It might be a trap.
C. WILDCARD
[Catch her walking around, message for a specific scenario, ect. Feel free to respond with prose if that's your preference, I'll switch.]
B. Lake
so she approaches the girl, making plenty of noise so there's no way she can be accused of trying to sneak up on someone. the girl turns her attention to George who can't help noticing the dried blood on her palm]
It's not. One of the few things that isn't.

Tiberius Blackthorn
Ty is very confused when he wakes up lying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling of a cave. He doesn't like being out in the sun so he's not unhappy about being inside, but he doesn't entirely comprehend how he got here. The last thing he remembers is the Council meeting just about the start. Sitting upright, Ty looks around with darting eyes, searching for any signs of his siblings. Anxiety starts to set in when he doesn't spot anyone and he gets to his feet, clenching and unclenching his hands in a repetitive motion as he tries to figure out what's going on. Maybe a Portal was opened...? Or some kind of magic was used...? "Livvy? Julian?" he calls out, first for his twin sister who he's inseparable from, then for his older brother who's essentially been his parent since he was ten, given that their parents were both dead.
His eyes eventually land on three velociraptors as his gaze flicks around, and he sucks in a sharp breath, starting at them at first in utter fascination. Those are... Those are dinosaurs, he's positive, what with his adept knowledge of animals. And they're real. They're extinct but they're right there in front of him. The quick thought of if they might be demons flicks through his brain but he's never seen or heard of any demon looking like that before and they look like some kind of dinosaur, even if they look more like the ones from Jurassic Park.
They've heard his call for his siblings though, and they're coming towards him now, one straight at him and the other two circling in from the sides. The look of fascination slips into one of slight alarm and he backs up, bumping into the wall. He spots the claws and the sharp teeth, sees the way they're coming at him aggressively.
Ty takes a deep breath and picks up the headphones hanging from around his neck to jam them over his head, letting the music that's been playing from them quietly to help soothe him a little. Pressing his lips together in a thin line, even if he's still looking distressed, he slips a dagger from his side and holds it aloft as he takes a few steps forward. He doesn't want to hurt the animal, but he's smart enough to be able to pick up that if he doesn't try and defend himself, it's probably going to rip him to shreds, and he doesn't want to die now. He has to find Livvy and his friend Kit, has to find Julian, and if they're not here, then he has to find a way to get back to them. He takes a step forward and throws the dagger with precise accuracy, and the blade goes sailing forward to lodge neatly into the dinosaur's eye, making it scream out in pain.
Video Post
[Ty looks very agitated and distressed when he makes this video. His eyes are flicking around all over the place, never focusing on one place for long, and he's making counting motions on his fingers, going back and forth from one to ten to one to ten, over and over again. He's rocking back and forth a little at the same time too, trying to sooth himself the only ways he knows how when he's on his own. The behavior might seem weird unless anyone recognizes symptoms of autism. When he speaks, it's with a frown and all very straight-to-the-point.]
I need to find a pay phone, and I need some money for it. I don't have any money on me, and my cell phone isn't working. I have to call my brother Julian. He's going to worry about me if he doesn't know where I am. I'm supposed to be at the Council meeting.
Video
There are no pay phones. No money, either. Your cell phone won't work, but you've obviously found your other phone. That phone will only work here, though, so no calling your brother and no going to the Council meeting, either. Sorry.

Mokuba Kaiba
When Mokuba wakes up and looks up at a cave ceiling, he still thinks he might be somewhere in Medietas. But when he sits up and looks around at the unfamiliar surroundings, he starts having a sinking feeling that, once again, he hasn't been taken home but instead sent somewhere else. Hiryu is besides him though, so at least there's that. The robodragon has been his only constant companion these last some months.
He checks Hiryu over quickly to make sure he's alright, then does a quick patdown over himself to make sure he's alright too. He finds the cell phone on him and has enough time to open it up and start reading through the guide to confirm that yes, this is definitely yet another place he's been dragged to across dimensions against his will, but he only has enough time to glance through the beginning of it before Hiryu is letting out a growl and rearing up. "What is-" Mokuba starts to ask as he looks up to see what's got Hiryu in such a defensive state. Then he sees the raptors and he swears softly under his breath.
Scrambling to his feet, he shoves the phone back into his pocket for later and gets behind Hiryu. The little robodragon is already moving protectively in front of Mokuba, letting out a defiant roar as a couple raptors get closer to him. This is really not good, Mokuba thinks desperately as he looks around for the nearest exit he can run to.
Video Post
[Mokuba's had time to learn about his new situation, feeling even more discouraged and wondering if he'll ever see his brother again. But Kaiba's are fighters, not quitters, and he knows that Seto would never stop looking for him, no matter what, if he realized he was missing, so he can't stop trying to find a way to get back to his brother too. It's been rare that he's found other people also from Domino but it can't hurt to ask, and who knows, maybe a miracle will happen and his brother will already be here. He's not going to be surprised if he's not though. The universes seem to be conspiring against him ever seeing Seto for a while.
So have a video post of a ten-year-old looking fairly dejected. He'll take anyone from home at this point. He's been to two different places and he's only ever seen someone from home once during that whole time.]
Has anyone ever heard of a place called Domino City...? Or a company called KaibaCorp...? What about places people have gotten taken to that aren't their home world or universe? I can't be the only one this keeps on happening to.
voice.
Mokuba, hey.
「Is that Yugi or... that other Yugi? Neither...」
Kaiba is not with you, is he?

fun ghoul (all prompts ota)
Ghoul makes it out of the arena in one piece. It seems like something he'd stick around for- like, it's a giant fighting ring where he's encouraged to fuck shit up. He'd be all about that normally, but this is not normal. Huge bitey lizards are a little too extra, for one, and for two, he's kind of got a lot to process right now. His agenda is already filled with things like Think Yourself In To A Headache, Question Your Existence, Flip The Fuck Out, and Maybe Throw Up From Unchecked Anxiety That Definitely Does Not Exist. There's just no margin left to pencil in Lizards That Want To Eat Your Face Off.
So he'd skedaddled. Whatever. No one has any right to judge him.
But they might anyway, especially with the way he's circling the ruins of an empty house and eyeballing it like he's interviewing it. A typical person would perhaps choose to retreat in to a structure that wasn't on the brink of collapse, but no, not Ghoul. The renovated houses wig him out a little, honestly. They're too clean and whole and perfect. Anything that nice can't be trusted.
The only problem is that his chosen stronghold has one door to get inside. That side of the building has partially crumbled, leaving it impassable. Which is why he instead decides to fling a rock at one of the windows like a real problem solver.
The sound of shattering glass is loud, but his short, sharp whistle is somehow even louder. He can sort of see someone moving around in the distance, and he waves them closer. "C'mere and help me, motherfucker."
#2. NETWORK POST (OTA/TEXT)
( Ghoul's been holed away, reading over the network for forever. He managed to find the welcome guide or whatever the fuck, and it was like 74 pages long so he ended up mostly skimming it, but he skimmed it twice. Ish. He's absorbed at least 60% of the material... That's pretty good, right? )
ok how do i find confusion???? never really been a smoothie before so i kinda wanna meet the jackoff suckin up my brainwaves
( He also found the emojis. Because of course he did. )
might name my flavor Go Fuck Urself. thoughts?
#3. FREESTYLE

Nagito Komaeda
A – Velociraptor
[Komaeda had been in many strange situations, thanks to his talent. However, this was the first time he gone to sleep in a cottage and woken up in a colisseum. With velociraptors circling him. Was this one of Monokuma’s tricks?
He was not sure yet. Either way, this was a very unlucky situation.
Suddenly, a velociraptor tried to dive at him. He tried to duck but unfortunately he slipped on a CD case, which then flew into the air and flew open. The CD then dropped onto a CD player, pressed the button to open and the CD fell in nicely.
Another velociraptor tried to have a go at Komaeda. However, it ended up so low that it happened to bump into the CD player, knocking into it and making it tumble in the air. Just then, the stereo somehow not only landed on the ground without breaking but thanks to the impact of the velociraptor colliding it, it……started playing?
And suddenly the velociraptors stopped concentrating on their prey, entranced by the music.
Those who are observing, you don’t want to ask.]
Library
[What a day. Komaeda found himself whisked away from a murder island only to be trapped on another planet. Or rather a city that somehow moves from planet to planet thanks to a god. Or someone who claims to be a god. How unlucky of him. Or maybe he is lucky to experience such a bizarre phenomenon. Who can tell?
Either way, it seems that he is not the only one in this situation. Tons of people have been brought to this place. Some with their hearts full of powerful hope.
Would their hopes conquer the despair of being trapped here and reach the hopeful goal of getting out? Regardess, Komaeda felt that it was his duty to help those people out. He had no plans to escape. It was not that he did not want to, especially as he had been taken from his home when he was trying to help his beloved classmates back home. Especially one who….
No, it was best not to think about that. His feelings did not matter. If his classmates were Ultimates then they were perfectly capable of overcoming the despair of the killings. He believed in them. Besides, it was not as if any of them would miss him or worry about him…
Anyway, as he told himself, his feelings did not matter. Not the feelings of someone as worthless as him. However, maybe he could be of some use if he could do something to fuel the hopes of those who are trapped in this world.
But first, Komaeda decided to take a trip to the library. In order to help those wonderful potential symbols of hope, he had to find out as much about the city as possible. He had already read the information on the network. Maybe he could find something in the library as well. Chances are, a lot of people had already tried it but just in case, his luck might help him discover something that the others haven’t…
Except it didn’t this time. Komaeda can be found at a table in the library with a huge pile of books to one side. Every time he skims one and places it on the side, sighing in frustration.]
Maybe if I was the Ultimate Decoder or the Ultimate Linguist, I might have gotten somewhere with these. Has my luck run out today or am I just that incompetent?
Library
Maybe that's why she finds herself drifting close to the only other person in the library. The unnatural hair eases her a little. He could pass for one of the runners, looking like that. She's hovering by some shelves several feet away when he speaks, and Girl only takes a few steps closer before she answers.
Loudly, of course. No one ever told her libraries were supposed to be quiet.]
Can't read 'em? Don't think that would have anything to do with luck.

North Italy | open to all
[One of Veneziano's best features had always been his fast feet, at least when it was tie to run away from danger, and after waking up in the Arena he definitely took advantage of it: the bottle of wine he was carrying had been smashed on one of the velociraptor's heads and he just... fled, screaming like an hawk and calling from help, until he managed to find an exit to the building before turning into someone's meal.
It's only after making sure no dinosaur is following him anymore that Italy finally stops, his legs failing him and making him fall on the floor. What the Hell? The last thing he could remember was returning home, yelling a loud 'brother I'm home' then he was on the floor of that dark and scary looking place. Did he slip, hit his head and somehow ended up in a nightmare? Veneziano pinched his own cheek, it definitely seemed real, so... what was going on?
"I... I don't like this..."
Right now he can be easily found around the building, busy trying to figure out what's happening and clinging to a brown paper bag filled with groceries he carried from home, or on his way to reach one of the strange 'tall buildings' (spires) in the distance.]
2. Network message - Video
[So... Italy managed to actually read the whole guide for new arrivals before trying to contact others and now he's even more worried and confused than before- which is saying something. If it's another world under different rules how does he even exists without his people? Why would shops offer human meat? was that the standard for food in that place? Wendigos were there? He didn't really want to meet monsters! He only managed to give himself a big headache overthinking about all those things and a more.]
Hey, ciao... so... [What a genius, he started the call without even knowing what to say, he just wanted to hear someone else's voice so badly... anyway, there he is: a young man in a simple white shirt who seems to accompany every few words with a rudimentary hand movement that seems to mimic a basic sign language- and if you are familiar with italian culture you'll know he's just 'talking with his hands' as well.] I just arrived here, it was really scary but it's good to know I'm not alone here, eh! [There's a long, awkward pause.] Since we're already in a bad situation I really hope you're all wonderful people here, I really do, because all of this is already scary enough as it is.
3. free
Just... let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to do or post here something! He can be found around the housing district of Hadriel for now, perhaps at the library or at the stores.
1
The last thing he was expecting, as usual, is running into a familiar face on the way back. Last month was an exception, with France arriving - the first person from back home he'd seen in months. And here we were again. He almost doesn't believe his eyes. You never know what's a trick from the gods sometimes.]
I-- It--
[That's all he can sputter out right now.]

Barry Bluejeans | Open!
fig. 1: LIBRARY
[After Barry’s unexpected entry into the city a few days ago, he’s learned to stay clear of the arena. At least until he’s at peak performance again - or as close to peak as he can get. If Lup and their family are to be believed, the Door is predictable only in its timing, bringing with it any number of people and creatures from any number of places and times, but still tearing open at the same exact time every thirty days or so --
Affected by a lunar cycle, maybe? They’re underground, most likely in a concealed interplanar space, how would that even make sense? This place does seem to have gravity, however. Is the river affected by an outside gravitational pull, or is the gravity internal, or maybe even manufactured? Where does the river even originate? He’s in no shape to explore the tunnels on his own right now. There must be records somewhere. Note to self: observe and record water levels at regular intervals, no matter how small a change...
Instead of exploring the arena, which he’s frankly seen enough of this time around, Barry is traversing the city. The image of a map loaded on his handheld device indicated a library somewhere to the north, and that’s where he’s headed right now. Too many questions, too many uncertain elements. There has to be an answer somewhere in that enormous building, there has to be, how else would he rest --
What is the purpose of this place? Why this particular alien, abandoned city? Does it hold any special significance to these Gods apparently running things? Did they create it? Is it just random chance? The guide in the document on his device hadn't been particularly helpful in this regard. It had claimed there were no legible records from the previous civilization, the time before the Gods, but that simply can't be true. Did the Gods have something to do with the previous civilization ending? Note to self: scour the library, every single book, start learning simple words and go from there, just like you did with the mongooses...
Before he knows it, Barry's through the front doors of the towering library, the shape of it as strange as the rest of Hadriel’s architecture. His racing mind is immediately calmed by the smell of this place. Dust. Old books. Libraries are always the same, no matter what reality they're in. This is where he's needed.]
... Alright. Y’got this, Bluejeans. Start from the bottom. Left to right. Easy. [He keeps his voice down, of course, taking a few deep breaths to center himself. First things first: he needs something to write with. Writing detailed, meticulous reports is what Barry does best. As soon as he catches sight of another soul in or around the cavernous library, he heads straight for them, any awkwardness making way for the sense of purpose he's instilled in himself the whole way here. This is more important than any social anxiety. Barry clears his throat before addressing them:]
‘Scuse me, uh. Know where a guy could find a pen around here? It's, uh. It’s urgent.
fig. 2: VIDEO BROADCAST
[This tiny device retrieved from his pocket is very, very odd. Barry recalls having seen something like it in one of the many worlds he’s traversed throughout his life, but never got his hands on one until now. It takes a little fiddling - read: a lot of fiddling - to figure out how to unlock it, and what Barry finds only makes him more confused. This technology is far, far beyond him.
Well. What kind of scientist would he be if he didn’t investigate? So he taps and swipes around, thumbing the little pictures of blocks and clocks and globes, sometimes being shown new images and new buttons to press, sometimes not. Strange. Once on a page covered with a seemingly endless scroll of text and moving images, a button on the bottom in the shape of a box with a huge, staring black eye gets his attention. And as soon as he presses it, he sees… himself. His pale, confused visage stares back at him from the little glass screen, thinning hair and broken glasses and everything, like a tiny mirror.
What’s this big, red button at the bottom do? ]
Huh. It's just blinkin’? Nothin’ more, looks like...
[Old Man, meet Technology. Hadriel, meet Old Man Confused By Technology. Because unbeknownst to Barry, he's currently broadcasting himself futzing around on his phone to everyone on the network. He'll occasionally mumble something inane to himself, swipe his finger obnoxiously slowly over the screen, adjust his glasses, anything but recognizing that he's being recorded.
Please, someone educate him.]
fig. 3: WILDCARD
[[OOC: Do you contact Barry on the network? Bump into him on the street? Shout at him for help from the arena? Bond over some sick beats you found? Find him asleep at the library and snoring at his desk? Hit me with your best - or your worst!
The link above is Barry’s TDM thread with Lup, which is hand-waved as his canon entrance. Please replace Hell Hound with Velociraptor for any continuity needs.]]

Bellamy Blake - open
[After Bellamy manages to get out of the arena with Wash's help, and once he's sure Raven is okay, he starts to wander the cave. His first stop is the speakeasy because he figures listening to the chatter might get him somewhere. He's still trying to wrap his head around this—"gods", and magic, and robot monsters. He takes a seat at the bar, orders some drink he doesn't recognize and swirls it in his glass, looking utterly new and tense. It isn't nerves, exactly, Bellamy has just forgotten how to relax. He doesn't know where his friends are, not really, and after Mount Weather and Lexa his trust reserves are utterly depleted. It doesn't help that he's not sure he buys half of what he's been told. When someone finally sits beside him or slips up to the bar for a drink, he speaks up.]
You want to give me a rundown on why there's a hit list?

I'm looking for the best places to find ammo and weapons. I don't have anything to trade yet, but I'm willing to figure out some sort of payment.
Thanks.

Sharon Da Silva | OTA + CLOSED
[ Sharon is recovering from, not only a world that wanted her to be the mother of their savior but incredibly fast raptors only minutes later for her. It was pure luck that she activated her telekinesis to slam one of those creatures into the wall, it's feet slipping beneath before she takes off.
People die here. People come back.
The only thing Sharon cares about is getting back to one of the most important people in her long, long life. She's scrolling through the phone for his familiar moniker and when she finds it, it's breath of fresh air. She can still hear the raptors in the distance but fuck them.
She makes it to his home—their home—and enters, slipping her muddied boots off at the front door. She pulls out her iPod as she waits for him, quietly putting on a few tunes before crashing back on the couch, legs dangling over the arms.
She's home. ]
▍▍▍▍II. NOV. 10th | STORES, OUT&ABOUT | OTA
[ She made a post, mostly to let the ones who give a single damn shit about her to know she's here, crashed on Mello's couch. Her heart beats a strange, broken rhythm if she thinks too much of home—Silent Hill takes and she left her father.
Her nose wrinkles to keep her wits about her, to push back the fears of her decision: the consequences of her actions. She couldn't stay in one place too long or her thoughts would come rushing in like high tide only to leave the broken pieces left.
Is she really Sharon da Silva anymore? Or is she Alessa?
In one of the stores, she picks up some clothing. The next, a small box of acrylic paints (her murals are going to have to be smaller). And, once she's done, she slides down the wall of one of the buildings. She's tangled in memories, memories that should exist, memories that shouldn't. She breathes in when she sees someone, her bitchface automatic. ]
If you're looking for pants, there's a shitty pair in the store across the street. It's got three legs but it's nothing a little nip, snip, and sew wouldn't fix.
[ Everything is all right, she tells herself. ]
II.
[Maybe she's too far away to be immediately noticed, but before long she hears a familiar voice. Her head lifts and turns towards the direction of Sharon, before leaning around a corner and peeking past a shelf.
[Her eyes widen.]
You're back.
[Someone might've not checked the network yet. Sup, Sharon.]

Sam Drake | OTA
Hooly shit!
[Comes the lingering shout from the middle of the arena, as a drenched Samuel Drake sprints across the sand, dripping water and kicking granules up with each frantic step towards a pile of rubble at the edge of the Coliseum.
There's a telltale sound that comes from the pursuing velociraptor behind him, and Sam has only a second to think about how crazy it is that he's being chased by a dinosaur of all things, before there's an answering call from two others on his left and his right. He doesn't dare look at them, afraid that if he does he'll lose his balance or slow down enough to become fast food. Besides, he doesn't need to see them to know that this isn't just some crazy dream--the feeling of his heart throbbing against his chest is far too intense and too real for that.
So he runs, eyes set on a space amongst some debris that looks like it could be large enough to squeeze through. One hand reaches behind him to grab at the handle of the gun tucked in the waistband of his jeans, but only has time to pull it out before he flings himself onto the ground and scrambles into the space between two fallen remains. It's just deep and narrow enough that the snapping jaws of the velociraptor behind him get stuck in the entrance, and Sam let's out a relieved and slightly victorious "Ha!" as he catches his breath and moves backwards away from it.
Not that he has much time to relax. As he turns to start making his way out the other side, another dinosaur blocks the entrance, looking at him with intelligent and quizzical eyes that look as if it's trying to figure out a puzzle. Sam does the next best thing he can think of:]
Uh, a little help here?!
[Please God someone answer.]
B. Network Post - Video
[Smartphones are new to him. He much prefers older phones that came from simpler times, when autocorrect didn't exist and the best way to past one's time was a game called Snake. So when the video comes on, it's held a little too close and reveals one disheveled, dusty, and still damp Samuel Drake.]
Jesus Christ. You're busting my balls, right? I mean, dinosaurs? Really? At least buy a guy a drink and get him some smokes before you toss him into something like that.
[Which might be his not so subtle way of asking for a drink and cigarettes. Sam scrutinizes the video a little bit, unsure if he should continue. Who is he even speaking to anyway? Speaking of:]
Listen, I'm looking for my brother. He's about this tall, brown hair with some gray around the temples, wears shirts that are too tight for him. Name's Nathan. If--if anyone sees him, just let him know I'm looking for him.
[This feels stupid. He doesn't even know if anyone will answer. He doesn't even know where he is. Sam shakes his head a little before turning the video off.]
C. A Bar
[Leave it to Sam Drake to find some semblance of a bar, even if the liquor pickings are slim and there's no bartender there to ask for whatever's best. So, Sam takes it upon himself to try and find something, opening and sniffing any remaining bottles that line the walls, trying to figure out what they are. He's relatively dry now, a lit cigarette hanging in his mouth, and a boombox he had grabbed on his way out of the Colosseum playing music at full volume. What a catch.]
D. Wildcard
[I'm up for anything! Catch him by the mopeds, or walking around, or just reply with what you want to do and I'll follow you!]
B.) life, uhhh, finds a way
Hadriel giveth - the coin in his hand, Henry Avery's token for the deserving - and Hadriel taketh away, in that it left him stranded for so long. Maybe he's taken enough knocks now that his luck is turning around.]
Holy shit. Sam?
[Nate would argue the point about his shirts because they're comfortable, but the more pressing matter is the fact that his older brother has finally dragged his stubbled mug into this humble cave-city and it only took- what? Almost a year? It's hard to keep track when there isn't an actual sun, not that he hasn't tried.
The younger Drake almost drops his phone, knocking it against a world-weary column in the temple he's decided to search for Lance's "godkiller quest." The mission is an effective afterthought in light of this burgeoning development on the tiny screen of Nate's chipped cell.]
Sam, where the Hell are you?!
[Nate is already stepping out of the temple arcade, eager to divine a location so he can hug the shit out of this asshole. There is an air of fraternal desperation in his voice, both wary of the validity of this appearance in light of Hadriel's events and hopeful that he won't lose Sam again. Again. Jesus.]
