By now, the gods have probably done enough weird crap to you while you're asleep for you to be a little suspicious- but it's not like you can just not sleep, especially when there are a few supernatural forces making your eyes droopy and your body feel heavy.

And now, when you fall asleep, you'll wake up somewhere else and you'll likely have quite a different temperament- you'll be younger, maybe a little more naive and innocent, and you won't exactly remember all the wild stuff that's happened to your adult self. Maybe now you'll be a little more trusting and emotional, hm? The gods could definitely use a little boost in power, and what better way to do it than to harness the power of overemotional kiddos!

Or maybe you aren't affected at all and find yourself surrounded by youths. What are you going to do when your best friend doesn't know how to cook for themselves? Or your bitter rival is throwing a temper tantrum because they broke their favorite toy? Nobody asked for this kind of responsibility, but think about what would happen if nobody was around to take care of these babies...

[ There are...a lot of kids around. A lot of them. A hell of a lore more than she's seen since she got here. And Alana got extremely confused and kind of alarmed.

She is absolutely clueless about what's going on and entirely worried that there's so many of them around in this place. It's unnerving and unsafe. And where the hell are all the adults? Wouldn't all the other people in this city be worried too?

She hears the little girl nearby and her attention is peaked. She watches her for a moment before taking a few steps over and calling out. ]

Hey--Are you okay?

[At first she's totally and completely ignoring her, a woman is not what she's looking for. And then she's being approached and is immediately on her guard, a hand disappearing into the powder blue cloak that's the only nice piece of clothing on her.

Her eyes are narrowed, probably a little more hostile than she really needs to be at the moment.]

I'm fine. Have you seen two male elves running around or not? [She's not going anywhere and she'll fight before someone tries that, again.]

[ The look on Alana's face is soft and gentle, even if this kid isn't as young as most of the one's she's seen around. Still, she seemed worried. ]

I...don't think so?
