By now, the gods have probably done enough weird crap to you while you're asleep for you to be a little suspicious- but it's not like you can just not sleep, especially when there are a few supernatural forces making your eyes droopy and your body feel heavy.

And now, when you fall asleep, you'll wake up somewhere else and you'll likely have quite a different temperament- you'll be younger, maybe a little more naive and innocent, and you won't exactly remember all the wild stuff that's happened to your adult self. Maybe now you'll be a little more trusting and emotional, hm? The gods could definitely use a little boost in power, and what better way to do it than to harness the power of overemotional kiddos!

Or maybe you aren't affected at all and find yourself surrounded by youths. What are you going to do when your best friend doesn't know how to cook for themselves? Or your bitter rival is throwing a temper tantrum because they broke their favorite toy? Nobody asked for this kind of responsibility, but think about what would happen if nobody was around to take care of these babies...

[ Angus hasn't really met Lydia in person yet. He's briefly seen her over the network, sure, but there's a world of difference between the fashionable elf that Taako had warned him against, and the scrawny kid in front of him who's manning the makeshift roulette wheel. He hasn't quite put the two together yet, but it's probably just a matter of time. ]

... What kind of stuff is in the bag?

[Probably for the better, but he'll probably find out who she is later if her current conquests are to be believed. Really. Though she's tilting her head at him as he approaches, immediately putting on a fake smile to try and make herself look as innocent as possible. Hard to do with a roulette wheel, but whatever.]

Oh, things like jewelry, gems, baubles that have some kind of value, maybe a scarf or two in there, too. Stuff that's actually worth something if you sell or barter it. Wanna try your luck?~

[ Once he finds out who she is, Angus is gonna go to his room and have a long, silent freakout! Until then, though, he's going to be highly suspicious. ]

[She's shrugging immediately at his question, rolling her shoulders and never once dropping that smile.]

I've collected a lot in my life. Everyone's always willing to gamble something in order to get something better out of it, right? All of it I have obtained through totally legal means, of course! I'm not a thief or something. [She kind of is, but she's not about to tell him that.]

Okay, but... you aren't really gonna make any money off of this venture. This place relies more on the bartering system than anything else.
