By now, the gods have probably done enough weird crap to you while you're asleep for you to be a little suspicious- but it's not like you can just not sleep, especially when there are a few supernatural forces making your eyes droopy and your body feel heavy.

And now, when you fall asleep, you'll wake up somewhere else and you'll likely have quite a different temperament- you'll be younger, maybe a little more naive and innocent, and you won't exactly remember all the wild stuff that's happened to your adult self. Maybe now you'll be a little more trusting and emotional, hm? The gods could definitely use a little boost in power, and what better way to do it than to harness the power of overemotional kiddos!

Or maybe you aren't affected at all and find yourself surrounded by youths. What are you going to do when your best friend doesn't know how to cook for themselves? Or your bitter rival is throwing a temper tantrum because they broke their favorite toy? Nobody asked for this kind of responsibility, but think about what would happen if nobody was around to take care of these babies...

All right. [so it's 'I spy' then...he knows this one.] I see something silver.

「Okay, that has him looking around, until his eyes fall on Law's hands... Huh.」

The skewers?

Nope. [too easy, right?] But you're close.

[honestly there's a lot of silver things around - the knife, the bucket, even the fish inside it]

「Okay nope, he stares at the bucket for a moment, because, that's so sad to consider it silver, what can he say, he's used to things that shine, not dull stuff.

Eh, he'll bet everything in that card sad looking bucket!」

Good one. Your turn - unless you want to eat more? [there's one fillet left, and more fish lazily swishing their tails in the bucket]

「He stares at the fillet for a moment, he didn't like it but, his stomach growls a little.

He looks up at Law with a pout and then nods.」

[yes good little pharaoh. he doesn't know if these dream-selves are going to suffer for lack of food but if he sounds hungry, he is hungry, and therefore, must eat.

At least this one's been in the fire a bit longer, so it's a little crispier]

「He's hungry all right, enough to devour the thing without thinking of the flavor, and when he's nearly done, he makes a little pause.」

Something you can see, yet cannot see... What is it?

[thinking while he sticks the skewers into the flames to clean them]

[all right, he'll think on it. It's probably a pun of some kind, he's bad at those.]

Can't. I can't swim. If you want to... [well he can't just leave this little shorty to his own devices, can he? There may still be monsters.] ...I'll watch.

「What, did you expect him just to accept that answer? It would have probably been easier just to tell a little lie.」

That's sad. The water is cool, and it's very hot here all the time, except at night. I don't like the nights. But okay, come if you want! Just don't tell me you're bored later.

Besides, he can soak his feet at least. And bring something along to carry water - clean, un-god-tainted water. Hell yeah.

Law gets up, brushes off his hands, and puts everything away before grabbing a jug for water.]
