By now, the gods have probably done enough weird crap to you while you're asleep for you to be a little suspicious- but it's not like you can just not sleep, especially when there are a few supernatural forces making your eyes droopy and your body feel heavy.
And now, when you fall asleep, you'll wake up somewhere else and you'll likely have quite a different temperament- you'll be younger, maybe a little more naive and innocent, and you won't exactly remember all the wild stuff that's happened to your adult self. Maybe now you'll be a little more trusting and emotional, hm? The gods could definitely use a little boost in power, and what better way to do it than to harness the power of overemotional kiddos!
Or maybe you aren't affected at all and find yourself surrounded by youths. What are you going to do when your best friend doesn't know how to cook for themselves? Or your bitter rival is throwing a temper tantrum because they broke their favorite toy? Nobody asked for this kind of responsibility, but think about what would happen if nobody was around to take care of these babies...► This log covers January 23rd-Feb 1st.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you trip over a kid and die, please let us know here.

Pretend about what? What are you even mad about? I didn't even do anything.

[he doesn't need a reason to be mad, not when he's completely snapped. All he can do is puff himself up and make himself look threatening to predators like a cornered animal, maybe they'll leave him alone]
no subject
[He's still not sure if they're going to fight or not. If they are, he's ready, but he'd rather not. He gets in serious trouble every time he gets into a fight, and his parents aren't here, but they'll probably find him eventually, and he doesn't want to have scrapes and bruises and stuff.
Maybe he should just ask?]
Are we gonna fight, or what?
[He'd feel a little bad hitting a kid smaller than him, but whatever, he started it.]
no subject
[definitely an attempt to goad a fight, yep. But even now, burning to destroy everything, Law's too inexperienced to just haul off and punch anyone, let alone pull a knife or a grenade. So the question takes him aback, makes him feel rather awkward, and he stands there gritting his teeth for a second before answering with a fist.
One tiny little fist, which has never so much as slapped someone let alone hurt.]
no subject
When the fist comes toward him, he throws his arms up to take the blow. And then charges, shoving at his attacker with his whole eleven years of strength. He doesn't care if he gets hit again in the meantime. He just wants this kid bodily away from him.]

The kid tries to tackle him, but he's not really weighty enough to knock him down, so they just end up awkwardly pushing against each other. Michael tries to pry the other kid off by his shoulders. It still seems unfair to just hit him, so he's only going to resort to that if he has to.]
no subject
When he gives up swinging, he just stands there pushing against Michael's grip, as if to lunge right in there and headbutt him with that soft hat if he can.]
Come on, fight me! What's your problem?
no subject
[It's weird, normally Michael has no objections to fighting someone, especially if they start it. But this kid didn't hurl any insults or say something racist about his mom. He didn't try to put him in a trashcan or something. He just threw a punch for no reason? And he threatened him. Which doesn't actually bother Michael that much. He's not scared of this kid. He's having a hard time staying angry at him, either.]
Just stop already! It's not like you're getting anywhere.
[He can't even land a punch, and Michael isn't having any trouble quite literally holding him off.]
If you don't stop, I'm gonna- [Do what? There's nobody around to tell, and he'd probably just get in trouble too.]
I'll hit you. Like, really hard.
no subject
Go ahead. Do it! Do it if you think you can!
[what else can he do? if he gets hit and goes down, it's just what he deserves. At least then he can say he tried.]
no subject
Of course, the second he does it he feels a little guilty and glances around to make sure no one saw that.]
no subject
He shoots a glare and a snarl up from under the brim of his hat, and then stumbles up and goes running. The only way to not have to acknowledge anything is to run off and pretend it never happened, right? Smart]
no subject
Hey, wait!
[What's even the deal here? The kid literally told him to hit him. Maybe that was his plan all along? Bait him into a fight so he could go cry to somebody about it? Ugh.]
