Event Log: A Hope for the Future

What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[Rosen turns his head up at the question, instinctively smiling when he sees who it is, though certainly he could have figured it out from the voice. He and Glacius have had ups and downs in their strange acquaintance, but Rosen is fond of him and considers him among the more trustworthy in this place.]

You are not the first to wonder about that [His smile thoughtful] But it reminds me of home. Things I would grow in my garden.

[He pokes at it a bit with his fork]

And how are you, Glacius? Have you been well?

[He's turning an increasingly stronger shade of pink but he doesn't hesitate in following her. He's still not used to people being eager to spend time with him, but he won't pass up the opportunity. Especially not with someone so dear]

You'll have to trust me. It can be quite difficult at the start. But then you get the hang of it.

Do you think they could?

[He likes that thought very much. Margaery has talked to him about it before. The idea of going to someone else's world. But not the possibility of going to many of them at will]

I...I don't like the idea that once we leave we'll never remember each other.

[She has a seat across from him and summons her blade as a knife - as always, the thick black ichor seems to pour straight from her wrist into its form, which solidifies, so black it barely reflects the ambient light in the room. She neatly slices one of the little treats in half and pops it in her mouth, and as it melts on her tongue with all its sugar, she laughs a little, eyes watering. She rinses it down with coffee.]

I think I'm going to lose all my teeth if I have any more of that, how can you eat those?

[imhisaunt]

[Delmar brightens, smile deepening the dimples in his cheeks.]

You spoil me, Miss Margaery.

[Laura shifts a little in her chair][like BOB] But there's not much I can do about it.

[Glacius tilts his head, scratching lightly at the scarred side of his jaw where one of his mandibles once attached.] Nnnot exactly, but I am well enough now, and that is what I choose to focus on.

[Dropping his hand now, the alien gestures to Rosen slightly, trying not to drag the general mood down.] Ah, but a garden! I have become familiar with them, as my partner keeps one of them himself. Watching him tend to it is quite peaceful and satisfying... wonderful really. Have you ever seen it? I am sure he would not mind you visiting. Lots of others seem to.

[puzzlingly]

「Oh, well, excuse you it is so rude to talk to someone who is stuffing their mouth with food! He keeps brilliant eyes on her, his cheeks puffy from all the food he just put in but, surprised that she knows exactly what he's even eating and what stuff go with them. He just keeps chewing as fast as he can. He finally swallows, forcefully.」

[The only reason that Ignis is sober is that he's had enough strong coffee to turn most people into human hummingbirds, or potentially give them a heart attack. No doubt he'll feel absolutely terrible in the morning, given how long it's been since he had access to decent coffee at all, but right now he's just enjoying himself entirely.

Seated, and for a little while bereft of any company, he's near enough to Nathan to hear him crack a line or two and despite all better instincts, he can't resist piping up with--]

[One hand is holding a bowl of pad thai, piled far higher than any amount a young woman her size should be capable of eating. With the other, she indicates a blueberry muffin.]

[Abigail nods and manages not to giggle. She can relate to finally having good food.]

[Though only as a side dish or one ingredient with others. None of Hannibal's meals were vegetarian.]

[For now, Rey just leans over and brushes off some of those pesky crumbs from Atem's face. It just takes a couple swipes.]

[She notices him only a moment before he gently ruffles a large hand over the top of her head.]

[Kaiba couldn't disagree with anything she'd said. Even if he was new to these particular "gods", she was repeating his own philosophy.]

The 'monsters' and animals outside of town.

[Stares off towards the edges of the town as though sizing them up.]

With the right technology all of the problems could be resolved at once. Is there anything here more advanced than the copper age?
