Who: Everyone!
What: The event log for the transition to our new planet!
Where: The city, which has now been fragmented onto four separate islands.
When: May 27th-June 10th
Warnings: Surf's up! If by 'surf', you mean separation from your friends, weird sea creatures, and cold rainfall.

The sun and the sand and a drink in your hand- well, it all sounded pretty nice when you voted for the island planet, but ultimately what you're getting is a bit less glamorous.

The transition takes place instantaneously, with very little noteworthy shakeup, though those of you who are particularly in-tune with the supernatural may feel a bit dizzied or nauseated by the sudden movement. And that's exactly what it is: for those of you who are outside, the change is fairly noticeable, as in the span of a single blink, what used to be miles of desert is now rocky ocean. The city is simply in one place one moment, and then somewhere entirely new a second later.

And that somewhere new is exciting! The islands have plenty of landscape to explore and weather conditions to adjust to, fish to catch, and- wait, how do you get to the other islands? What if your friends or your home or the bar is on these other islands? Enjoy having to figure out who is where and how you're going to get by with only a small fraction of the city to work off of- hopefully those boats will come sooner rather than later...

[Margaery was at the Sewing Shop when the shift happened. she was looking out of her window at desert and in the blink of an eye, she saw rocks and what looked like rain lurking in the distance. she ventured outside long enough to ascertain that not all of the town moved with the Shop to this island and immediately set out to contact her friends to see where they'd ended up.

of course her first call is to Delmar]

Delmar? Hello! Where are you?

Margaery!

[Delmar sounds somewhat panicked, having similarly found the world outside his window strange and different]

I...I am at my apartment. But I...I don't know where anything else is. Where are you?

[she can hear the panic in his voice and it worries her greatly. so she pitches her voice as soothingly as possible]

I'm on one of the islands, the one with the Sewing Shop on it. I'd gotten up early to get a little work done and found myself stranded. I've done some looking and while we do have the Armory, the Park, and the Guard Headquarters, my home is not on this island.

I'm grateful that you weren't stranded elsewhere away from your home.

[He chews his lower lip nervously as she talks, trying to focus on the details of what she's saying]

Is there any way for you to get home? What are you going to do for food??

[she can tell how upset he is and wishes she could be there in person to soothe him]

We've no boats. None that I've seen, at least. About that. . . we do have a shop here. It has little in the way of food, but I should be able to manage if I'm not too greedy.

Are any of the monsters there?

[If only he had Harlan's magic, then he could be more useful]

Do you have your sword?

[Though he hates the idea of Margaery fighting, he'd rather she be armed than not]

No, we've no monsters here. I hope that there aren't any on your island!

[he's already useful just being himself. and she hastens to reassure him]

I do. I also have the wards the elves put in place for me. I should be safe.

I'm afraid we do have some of those beasts here but don't you worry, I'll be careful.

[Delmar learned his lesson about running into danger when the Null invaded]

Is there anyone else you know with you? Any of your friends?

Oh dear. Yes, do be careful. Have you found any friends on your island?

[the Null would be enough to scare anyone]

I don't know yet. I've not ventured out of my shop yet, but I suppose I'll have to if I want to find food.
