What: The event log for the Home Sweet Home event
Where: All over the city
When: June 20th-July 2nd
Warnings: Nothing bad could ever happen now that you're home
It could happen at any moment- any action you do could be cut short by a sudden trancelike state, and so hopefully it happens when you're safe in your surroundings. And of course you're safe... after all, what could happen to you now that you're finally home?
Whether you don't remember Hadriel at all, or you just believe that this entire ordeal is over, you're home for good now, which is something worth celebrating. What happens in your home? Are you treated like royalty or just cast aside and forgotten? How are your friends doing? Your family? Everything is just as it should be and it's easy to get lost in it, even for an unlucky onlooker who may find themselves drawn into your trance and able to interact with you as you mill about your world and your reality.
Snapping out of it is the only way to end this trance, and you've got to eat and sleep at some point, but how can you go back now that you've been teased with what you desire (or maybe even fear) the most?► This log covers June 20th-July 2nd.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well

CHARLES LET'S GO TO SCHOOL <3
Did he actually die while standing up? Is that how bad he is at life? Amazing.
Naturally, Caedra tries to push him over, because that's what you do to people who appear paralyzed upright. But the moment her hand contacts his shoulder, she, too, freezes. Guess you get to stay standing upright for now, Charles.
Instead, she finds herself in a hallway. Sleek, and well-lit, with a style of construction she's never seen before. It's very minimalist, actually, like someone focused only on function and not form just took building blocks and stacked them in one big long line. What happened to art and architecture?
She's being addressed by Charles, though, she notices, which - okay. She's never seen Charles look like this, but people do change form from time to time. But that outfit-
Caedra glances down at herself. Finds she's wearing the same outfit, and groans in disgust. "Awful," she comments initially, rather than answering the question, but then- "Class? I have a class?"
this is the most class caedra will ever have (rimshot)
And even though Charles is now looking a lot different (there are some similarities, it'd be easy to mistake the girl for a relative), she (he?) is still 100% the same person. Her smile isn't so much one of friendliness as it is amusement. "Of course you do, that's what school is for. Unless you want your class representative to hunt you down." (And if that does happen, Charles will be escaping as soon as possible. Even here, he avoids Scarlett Eyler like someone who's allergic to bees avoids...well, bees.)
As for that other remark-- Charles pauses, looks herself up and down. The school outfit is basic; a white blouse and a black skirt. Simple, but cute. "The outfit isn't that bad." Though that might just be bias, on the designer's part.
WOW GET OUT
So she looks at Charles as if she's just turned into a swarm of bees. There, that's better, and appropriately sums up the creeping dread that Caedra is feeling at how regulated everything here is, from the hall, to the doors, to the matching outfits. It makes her shudder.
"What if instead of going to class, I do something else. What's down this hallway?" she asks aloud as she wanders off in one of the two directions that seem to be present, aside from the multitude of doors. How far does this go? Is there someone in charge? Is there an outside?
(finger guns)
"Or you could go to the library, if you don't mind books about ways to peel an apple without hurting yourself." You know, high quality literature. "I don't actually care if you go or not, it's not my future on the line."
no subject
She wheels to face Charles, a little unnerved by how upbeat she seems to be, but not enough to ask about it when there are so many other unknowns. "So this is a school, I take it. Nothing like any I'm used to. It looks more like a prison." And it's getting more silent and empty in this hall as the seconds pass, as dronelike, the humans surrounding them head to wherever it is they're supposed to be. Without being late, apparently. There must be some sort of rigid time structure in place that they obey.
"And what's this about my future?"
no subject
"Well, not just a prison, but a place that determines your entire worth in society. If you don't attend classes and socialize properly, then you'll be a failure! Game over." Wow, someone sure sounds gleeful about this.
no subject
"How do we get out?" Immediately she starts looking for anything marked with an exit sign but her options aren't looking very good.
no subject
But, fine, if she wants to leave... "If I had to guess...the way you came in." Yes, Charles is extremely helpful.
no subject
Because the library sounds excruciatingly boring, and she wants nothing to do with a prisoner's cafeteria. The classroom is where all of the students are, supposedly, so if nothing else she can spill a lot of blood here. When there's nothing else to do, butchery is the best option to resort to.
no subject
...though at that moment, one of the students who isn't a faceless being-- in contrast to the almost entirely monochrome student body, with bright red hair-- steps out of the elevator, looking like she's both angry and searching for someone. And at that moment, Charles is apparently changing her mind and makes for the classroom, deciding that it's the place to be. Go figure.
no subject
"Not so fast. Where do you think you're going?"
This could be fun. Hopefully they hate each other.
no subject
The girl crosses her arms over her chest. "Shouldn't you two be in class by now?" she asks, simply. Her only issue genuinely seems to be that they're throwing their futures away. Caedra, think about your future!
no subject
And as a normal reaction to this situation she tries to summon her sword, but - shit - that doesn't seem to work in here. Well, fine. She doesn't need a weapon to make this exciting.

Caedra shakes her prey with a solid jerk, as if mentioning the name wasn't enough.
"Charles, you have a pen, right?" Or perhaps this other girl does.
no subject
After another attempt to free herself from Caedra, Charles gives up...for now. "Quit antagonizing her," she hisses, low enough that the redhead can't hear.
no subject
"I don't care what you want," she snarls. No pen? Fine. It would have been simpler, but it's hardly a necessity. Caedra really only has one reaction to being told what to do like this, and she doesn't need a weapon to do it. She tosses Charles aside with an abrupt shove, then throws a punch at the redhead's nose.
no subject
The redhead only manages to turn her head slightly and take it in the cheek instead, and then the loudspeaker-- which is somehow an understatement-- blares to life. "VIOLENCE IS FORBIDDEN ON SCHOOL GROUNDS," it lets the offending students (and probably everyone within a five-mile radius) know.
no subject
She doesn't trust Charles over there, though. She's trying not to divide her attention too much, but she's on high alert for movement behind, should Charles try to tackle her and attempt to break up the fight. But hopefully this girl she's beating on is unused to physical violence - hopefully it won't take too much more to knock some of the fight out of her before has a chance to try and retaliate.
Of course violence is forbidden. It usually is. It has never stopped any of her kind from perpetuating it.
no subject
...but this isn't the Scarlett he knew, and even though she's certainly fighting back, she's clearly outmatched. And that loudspeaker warning was just a first warning. It's very possible that something's going to show up and vaporize everything in the hallway, as punishment.
So in order to try to cut this off before that happens, she grabs for Caedra's collar to yank her back.
no subject
Caedra notices the movement, but not quickly enough to do anything about it with how focused she is on the fight. Really, if only she had a weapon-
Charles pulls her back, but Caedra is quick on her feet and keeps her balance, moving with the pull and then ducking under Charles' extended arm. She looks elated, though, rather than angry. "What, you want me to hit you, too? Break your jaw, punch out an eye?"
She doesn't, of course. That same fear she had before of somehow getting trapped in this dream persists. She's done awful things to people in their dreams but killing them with that psychic pain just seems risky.
no subject
The issue that's now getting to her feet and wiping blood away from her nose. It goes well with her hair. "You really are worthless," she spits. But she doesn't look like she plans on continuing the fight. "Don't bother asking for my help when you realize you'll end up a good-for-nothing."
no subject
Whatever is in Charles' head can't hurt them too badly. This is just some dumb school. Charles' warning forgotten, she lunges at the redhead once more, this time trying to grab her around the throat. She doesn't look too hard to strangle to death, and now that she's gotten started she truly wants to finish this, consequences be damned.
no subject
The loudspeaker blares to life again.
"WARNING: ALL STUDENTS IN THE HALLWAY OF 2F WILL BE VAPORIZED IF VIOLENCE DOES NOT CEASE WITHIN THREE SECONDS."
Is it serious? Who knows.
no subject
Confused, Caedra does stop, and releases the other girl entirely.
"Is that real?" she asks, turning her head just slightly over her shoulder to ask Charles, while still keeping her gaze primarily on the redhead. She's not afraid of being vaporized necessarily, but if that's the penalty - if that can happen in this school, first off, Charles, what a terrible school you went to. But secondly, Caedra is determined to do a lot more damage than choke out one girl if she's only going to get the one chance. If she kills quickly, will it retaliate? If she's in a packed classroom, will it vaporize a good thirty or so students?
