Waking up in Hadriel certainly has its down sides, but if this weird murdercave city is good at one thing, it's keeping people entertained. As you awaken on the hard ground of the colosseum, you might see a rectangular cardboard box lying near you. Ignore it for now, as you get your bearings, but if you get bored? Well, you'll find these exciting and unique board games will keep you entertained!
But how could you possibly get bored, when there are plenty of cute monsters around to keep you company? Sharing the colosseum with all the new arrivals are Tonberries. In addition to their natural cuteness defense, they also carry very large knives. They're slow-moving and look innocent and even friendly, but be careful - one strike from that knife and you'll be a bloody mess. They won't attack unless you get too close, but who doesn't want to hug a Tonberry? And of course, if you attack, they'll counter with extreme prejudice.
Managed to resist the urge to hug a Tonberry? Safely escaped from the clutches of the colosseum, new board game in tow? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers September 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

[Urgh, the scar where his heart should be hurts at that.]
They'll be named Dorothy and might have a small animal, I guess. Like a dog. They're usually just a bit older than you are, I think. I haven't seen one in a while, but not a lot of people these days are naming their daughters Dorothy.
no subject
Who is Emma? And why was she a Dorothy? [Maybe Dorothies aren't necessary then to reach this other nation and befriend them?]
no subject
Emma... Emma is my friend. [Absently, he brushes a finger against the smaller burn on his lip.] She wasn't really a Dorothy, she could just...do things the Dorothies could do. And a lot more than that, too. Because she's amazing.

You will marry her, yes?
[Men who look like that and don't marry the woman in person usually mean only trouble for those women, and that is being very mean and making said women unhappy.]

[hold the phone]
What?! [CAN HE HAVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN IT'S NOT IN HIS BODY] I don't -- I mean -- I don't know! Quiet. Don't look at me.
[THEY JUST STARTED DATING LIKE TWO SECONDS AGO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN HIMSELF AUGHHH how can he be blushing this hard]
no subject
Would that mean that Emma gets a personality attack by proxy]Why should I not look at you?
[He's studying Warrick more closely now - what reason would there be to not look at him?]
no subject
Just...because.
[sweet lurlene stoooop, now he's gotta go and bury his face in his hands, he's blushing like a fool and -- grinning? Or grimacing? Grinmacing???]
Um. Never mind. You shouldn't ask people those things out of nowhere. [......wait -- ] Especially if you don't even know their name.
no subject
What is your name?
[...And, since we're at it.]
And why are you green?
[Also dude. DUDE. Looking at you you really, really need to marry this Emma person. Just ...look at you.]
no subject
...Warrick, and I was born green. Who are you?
1/2
[Not born, because he wasn't born, but he's always been this skin colour.]

[Warrick jolts a bit in surprise, turning to watch Pityo with mirrored curiosity.]
Hello. Are you waiting for an introduction, too, or...? Hi.
no subject
Muscovy supplies:] He cannot talk properly.
[...He's surprised, though. Normally Pityo is ...very much a fairy. Him getting close to someone is rarely a good sign. But he looks almost positive now, like he's planning nothing that would annoy or harm the green guy.]
no subject
[Hmmn, it should be here somewhere in these layers of clothes... Ah, there it is. Warrick produces a small, silvery badge and shows the pair.]
It's supposed to have a charm in here that lets people from other worlds talk with one another... I mean, I doubt you speak Ozite, so that part's already working. Maybe with a little more focus, it will help me with him, too?
[And then, turning to Pityo fully:] If that's alright with you, of course. Your language is very lovely, so I understand if you'd want me to hear that, instead.
[gotta appeal to fairies, my dude]
no subject
[He pushes his sleeve up to his elbow and displays a tattoo that resembles scrambled zalgo text, about ten centimetres long.]
Maybe they are too much like animals.
[Pityo seems curious but also confused by what Warrick is trying to do and hovers a bit closer to him.]
no subject
[Dang, that's a disappointment. Warrick sighs and returns his Calliope badge to the inner folds of his coat, then leans over to inspect Muscovy's arm.]
That's too bad. So this is a magic brand...? Did it hurt?
no subject
[At least by what he has observed - his own healing abilities are essentially things that could be done by technical means if the equipment was just really, really advanced. And some things that he does entirely without magic seem magical to people because they just don't understand them.]
I was asleep when they applied it. In a gravity couch, that made sure that people didn't die when the ship jumped to a new location. Because it jumped so fast that everyone that wasn't in such a couch got thrown around and very broken, but some people were in them for much longer.
no subject
That...doesn't sound okay. At all. Like, any of it.
no subject
It was very silly.
But then the ship crashed and the numbers on my arm broke and now they look like this.
[Which in his opinion is another reason to not make the difference between magical and technical creations that big.]
no subject
The numbers broke? Your arm was fine, though?
[them healing instincts]
What was it like before? And they still work okay...?
no subject
[He looks down at them.]
They still work. Not even the ship falling off the cliff broke them fully.
no subject
How did the ship get on a cliff?
no subject
[If that sounds vague it is because he has very little idea of what actually happened. There was an ultimatum and fighting, and then when he woke up in his gravcouch they were in the middle of a jungle.]
no subject
[Man, if he ever runs into the kind of person that would just attack a ship with some kids on it, he'll take them up high onto a cliff and see how they like it.]
But I still don't understand how it got so high up in the first place.
