Event Log: Why Do You Have To Be Mad?
Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Rage event!
Where: All around the city
When: December 15th-December 20th
Warnings: None! Well, potentially rage-induced destruction and fighting and maybe a tiny bit of murder? So, nothing out of the ordinary.

December is usually a time of festive holiday cheer... unfortunately, Hadriel isn't the sort of place that respects holidays. Rage has decided that it's time she's given her due and has put on another event! Unfortunately for everyone in the city, this event means that all characters are given a particularly aggravating pet peeve that entirely sets them into a flying rage.
See someone sleeping? They're now the object of your ire. See a tall building with a bunch of windows? Suddenly, all those windows need to be smashed. Fights are breaking out with depressing regularity, and a couple of them might be severe enough to injure someone in a bad way.
Look out for your fellow prisoners in Hadriel, and do try to figure out the categorizations of each person's issue fast- falling into these cycles of anger isn't good for anyone and is bound to make someone mad if you treat them wrong. Conversely, instead you can just find someone who has the same loathing as you and let your feelings amplify one another; after all, the best sort of friendship is one that's formed by mutual hatred!► This log covers December 15th-December 20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get too caught up in your feelings and start a fight only to see that the person who pissed you off was really good at fighting, or if someone blew up the building you were kinda living in, please let us know here!
► As a final note, if you were not sorted and you would like to be, then please let us know in response to this post!

Hard to believe it had been that long. The last few days all blurred together since she started trying to avoid sleeping. Part of that came from not having anything to really differentiate the days and nights the way sleep did, but more of it was fatigue. She hadn't slept in long enough now that she wasn't entirely ever awake anymore.
"Natasha Romanoff. Nice to meet you."
no subject
He's kind of curious. And trying to keep the conversation going.
When they arrive at the bar, Rin escorts Natasha to a seat and makes sure she's firmly seated before taking the chair opposite of her. Rin will just order a soda while he lets Natasha eat. Come to think of it, he could have cooked for her, and it probably would have tasted way better than bar food. And would have had a bed or a sofa for her to rest on if she would have passed out. Oh, well. He was thinking on his feet. He'll just have to keep that in mind for the future.
"So, why do you look so tired, anyway? When was the last time you slept?" Might as well go straight to the chase, now.
no subject
"Actually, there are couple of people here from home already. Not sure if you'd know them, though. For the most part they're the type to keep quiet."
After that, she trails off a bit. She doesn't have the motivation to keep up a conversation too long unprompted. Putting one foot in front of the other is enough of an effort for the time being. It's not until after she's ordered coffee and a sandwich, when Rin questions her again, that she speaks to him again.
The mention of sleep brings a curt reply. "I haven't wanted to sleep. With everything going on here, isn't it a waste of time?"
no subject
"C'mon, everybody needs at least a little sleep," he says as warmly as he can, though slightly bewildered, trying to get her to see it. "You can't just keep running off coffee. You're gonna burn out. And when sleep catches up, you might be someplace really dangerous. You need to sleep, even if it's only to keep yourself safe."
no subject
Her jaw tightens, and she takes a moment to get control of herself. She can't exactly calm down. Just the thought of sleeping evokes a visceral rage. But she can tamp it down and try to respond rationally.
Try is an important word here.
"You're not wrong about that," Natasha says in a more measured tone. "But it's not as easy as you make it sound."
no subject
He scratches his head in thought.
"Or are you having really bad nightmares? Do you not have a bed? The ground can be pretty uncomfortable. They have free houses here, fully equipped and everything. Or we can get you to the doctor and see if they can help you do something to sleep. C'mon."
He stands up, reaching to take her arm and lead her to the clinic.
no subject
Pinching the bridge of her nose, she adds, "Not exactly well either, but it's not the problem."
She goes from massaging the bridge of her nose to scrubbing her face with her hand. "Haven't you noticed something weird going on here? People flying off the handle at the weirdest thing.
no subject
"Well, yea, I noticed..." he says in casual thought. "But I figured they were just grumpy. Everybody gets pissed off sometime."
Nevermind that he got in a pretty big fight for odd reasons himself. He was trying to save a fish, but suddenly got really pissy when he went to go calm the guy down. But he figures he was just hungry, or puberty, or something else relatively simple.
no subject
And even if they could chalk it up as not normal, but everyone gets pissed sometimes, that doesn't explain why she can't ignore it.
"Believe me, I'm not normally..." She trails off, not sure how to finish that sentence. "Not normally an insomniac. Not this bad."
no subject
Because he's not just the type to sit back and let things go to complete chaos. If something's going on, then innocent people are being messed with. That just doesn't fly in his book, y'know?
no subject
"Not sure what else it might be. But I'm open to suggestions."
no subject
"No, I can't think of anything that would make more sense. But which God is it? And how do we get him to stop."
He forgets he's asking someone new to Hadriel. She probably knows less than he does.
no subject
But being able to identify who's behind this only goes so far, doesn't it?
"How to get them to stop is the bigger question. From what I've heard, it's not that easy to get the gods to do anything."
no subject
"You mean Rage?" the light bulb finally comes one. Rin never claimed he was smart, now... mostly.
"Maybe they can be bargained with. Or... bribed? Or.... maybe they just need to vent. I'm sure we can figure it out. We just need to find them."
He stands back up, readily determined to stop Rage from messing with innocent people and let this poor girl get some decent sleep.

Natasha takes another drink of her coffee, but she can't deny that caffeine isn't a substitute for actual rest. Not anymore. It just makes her shakier.
"As for how you find them... you'd know better than me."
no subject
He frowns in thought. What could a God want? Probably not much... Damn... To be fair, he can't say he's tried much to interact with them. He wasn't exactly fond of Fear's stunt when he first got here. Or Confusion's for that matter. Actually, these Gods sure are a handful, aren't they?
"Well... I've seen a couple of people call the Gods out over the Network. For some reason, they respond to it, even if a person is just bitching about it." He holds up his phone to emphasize his point. Although, he's never been quite sure what happens to the people if they managed to piss this God off.
no subject
Natasha's not new to sleep deprivation, but that's still pushing it.
"They ever actually listen to that, or do they just show up to argue?"
no subject
"Maybe the Gods listen to each other. If we can talk to one who agrees with us, maybe they can get Rage to stop."
He sounds a little uncertain to how well that would work, but... at least it's an idea, right?
no subject
Then she sets aside her mug with an audible click.
"You know, it's not a terrible idea. Don't know that it will work in the short term, but as long game tactics go, could be worse."
no subject
"Alright! I came up with a good idea!" Maybe he should ask for it in writing so he can show it to Yukio when he gets home. "This is so awesome! So, which one should we talk to? I think there's Hope, and Delight, and..."
He frowns as he tries to recall all of them. He's still a little behind on learning all of their names.
no subject
"They sound like good places to start." Funny, in the future, Natasha could see how Rage could be an ally of theirs. At least if she were prone to siding with outrage. The problem is, this time she's the source. Being mad at her probably won't change her course much.
"At least they sound like they'd be supportive. This can't be good for them."
no subject
"Awesome! I'll try to get ahold of them right now!"
Rin starts typing away on his phone. But, the more he tries to write, the more frustrated he starts to get. Somehow, trying to be nice to the Gods to try and get Rage to calm down just doesn't seem to be doing it for him today. Before long, he's scowling at his phone.
After another minute, he actually throws his phone to the other side of the bar.
"Okay, maybe I'll try that later, then."
no subject
And she can't discount that her reaction is paranoia. Considering she wonders if this whole thing was a ploy, the goal of which is still unknown, it is very possible that she's overreacting.
The curiosity is there, though.
"You seemed pretty into the idea a minute ago."
no subject
His face very much contorts to one exactly as a child sulking. Nevermind that just moments ago, they were talking about Rage's influence, he's pissed. Unlike Natasha, he's not apt to notice when he's pissed for irrational reasons.
"It's just seriously stupid that the Gods can't take care of themselves. Seriously, why do we have to interfere just to get a little decency around here? We should already be treated decently! The Gods should learn that we aren't playthings!"
He huffs in frustration. Maybe he should write to the Gods, telling them to fuck off.
no subject
This is all very tiring; maybe she should order some more coffee. Her jaw tightens at any other course of action.
"That they're messing with us, or that we should have to talk to them to fix it?"
Because the way he presents it, Natasha's not entirely sure that the fact they're being messed with is really what's bothering Rin. It hadn't bothered him just a moment ago when they were discussing the sitution.
