Event Log: Why Do You Have To Be Mad?
Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Rage event!
Where: All around the city
When: December 15th-December 20th
Warnings: None! Well, potentially rage-induced destruction and fighting and maybe a tiny bit of murder? So, nothing out of the ordinary.

December is usually a time of festive holiday cheer... unfortunately, Hadriel isn't the sort of place that respects holidays. Rage has decided that it's time she's given her due and has put on another event! Unfortunately for everyone in the city, this event means that all characters are given a particularly aggravating pet peeve that entirely sets them into a flying rage.
See someone sleeping? They're now the object of your ire. See a tall building with a bunch of windows? Suddenly, all those windows need to be smashed. Fights are breaking out with depressing regularity, and a couple of them might be severe enough to injure someone in a bad way.
Look out for your fellow prisoners in Hadriel, and do try to figure out the categorizations of each person's issue fast- falling into these cycles of anger isn't good for anyone and is bound to make someone mad if you treat them wrong. Conversely, instead you can just find someone who has the same loathing as you and let your feelings amplify one another; after all, the best sort of friendship is one that's formed by mutual hatred!► This log covers December 15th-December 20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get too caught up in your feelings and start a fight only to see that the person who pissed you off was really good at fighting, or if someone blew up the building you were kinda living in, please let us know here!
► As a final note, if you were not sorted and you would like to be, then please let us know in response to this post!

[...would that work on Sans? Dying his bones, anyways, since he doesn't have hair. They know marker eventually washes out on bone now so...
....Chara wonders if Papyrus would let them into Sans' room one day. Meanwhile they're going to toss another brown water balloon. This...honestly was really fun. Rather than slinging threats, bones and knives, it's just an easy back and forward. A better night of stand up.
They want more of this, actually. More of...just being a kid.]

[He could, conceivably, hold still for that next balloon they chuck at him. He could sit tight, stand there and take it. He doubts they'd take kind to the notion that he let 'em do anything, though.
So he lets it paint the wall behind him a deep brown instead.]
Not sure whose hair it was, actually.
no subject
Is that not something you should check before getting a hair transplant? Lice is the bane of school teachers and parents after all.
[Here comes another blue one, since Sans seems to like the color so much. A little darker than the other one though.]
no subject
[It helped that they started things off with the mention of a certain flower, somethin' that maybe one or both of 'em knew would interest him.
MISS - and then, maybe for old time's sake and maybe in terrible taste, he swings that one around to send it shooting back for Chara. Water balloon pinball. The next big thing after Pie Face.]
no subject
Oh, the prank master getting pranked by children? Are you perhaps losing your touch Sans?
[This'll end badly. Not so much in the golden hallways ending badly but poking a sleeping lion kind of badly. Again, Chara should learn some impulse control.
Not today.]
no subject
He hates the part of his mind that still files that information away as relevant.]
Hey, maybe I was jealous of all you humans walkin' around with hair. You can brush it, comb it, dye it, style it - what's not to like?
no subject
Lice, split ends, and the days upon days of caring for it. If we find fashion books, I should show you the effort one must go through to look good.
[It...scratched on a few things, but let's not go there. Instead Chara just continue to dodge before flinging a second balloon. It's a mix of colors this time.]
no subject
[A poor joke, he's thinkin', but it ain't like their senses of humor are really all that bright and cheery to begin with. Both of 'em kinda have that proclivity for morbidity, huh?
Heh. Yep. They sure do.
MISS.]
How many of these things d'you even have?
no subject
Personally I prefer the "just woke up" look. Very easy to maintain. And I have as many as I need.
[Okay they only have three more left but Chara's going to keep Sans guessing.]
How did you wind up having an impromptu styling anyways?
no subject
It's a stupid joke, but he's always been a fan of those.]
Couple kids got a funny idea, I guess. Muscovy was one of 'em. Y'know him?
no subject
I believe that was one of the first people to greet me when I arrived here. A very helpful child. Who were the others?
no subject
[And just like that, he thinks their fun little back-and-forth here is gonna wind to a close.]
Another version of ya. One of the, uh, many there were runnin' around.
no subject
That's not to say that what Sans could have learned about them isn't troubling. At any rate, to keep things going, Chara draws out another water balloon for later.]
Oh? I hope they didn't cause you any trouble beyond a surprise wig.
no subject
[Arya. Muscovy. Asriel. Frisk. They all raise their own questions. Questions like, how's a kid like you know so much about death? Questions like, why do you climb a mountain like that anyway?
Questions like, how am I supposed to make anything better?
But hey. It ain't about him. Never was.]
no subject
And that's an awful subject to bring up during a fun water balloon fight. So let's not! Don't be disorganized, Chara. Keep a clear head.]
Children always seem to raise questions. A curious sort, aren't they?
[Chara realizes that they didn't say 'aren't we' but chooses not to draw attention to it. Instead they throw the balloon. Some kind of cream color this time.]
no subject
[Another slip-side to avoid the blow, but the impact of the balloon still catches the heels of his slippers, and the wet slap of paint against his bones ain't enjoyable for anyone. Wet socks are a fate worse than anything.]
Seems more and more common with kids these days. Seem to think it's better to be seen, and not heard.
[That...human saying that still rattles in his skull with an uncomfortable brightness.]
cw for mentions of abuse
'Seen, not heard'. Hahaha. Yes, Chara knows that saying, heard it many times before. Been praised for it, "You have such a quiet, well behaved child, Mr---" "--- is such a good child.", ect.
"The adults are the ones who should do the talking, Chara. Don't make me repeat myself."
And so Chara doesn't change their expression, just draws another balloon out of the Inventory. They're just playing. Just playing and talking. Smiling a painted smile.]
You prefer energetic children like Papyrus?
[There's no venom in their voice when they say that. Just merely an example of an energetic child that popped into their head.]
no subject
[He might be smilin' to match their grin, but the sentiment is sincere. Maybe there's no tellin' it from the exterior, but - yeah, he kinda more than agrees with what his other self said.
* doesn't make sense.
* who'd say something like that?
* kids should be loud.
* loud as they want.]
I think they should be allowed to be as loud or as quiet as they wanna be.
no subject
[Even though Chara is here throwing water balloons at a skeleton who was near-impossible to hit, even though they were as polite as they usually were they were louder, more energetic.
Happy.
Quiet was for the days when they wanted to Quit but weren't allow. For the days they scratched at their arms and the nights they slept under their bed. Leaving themselves alone with their thoughts was dangerous but being alone was better than...anything else, at the time.]
What about you Sans? What were you like as a child?
[It's a lateral move, one to get the topic off of Chara. Still not their best lie. That involved flowers thus far.]
no subject
[That's a stall, and it's exceedingly likely they both know it. Granted, it'd be helpful to know if they did meet him. He weren't exactly yet the paranoid, reticent bastard Sans would grow up to be.
The poor guy.]
no subject
[And...
Well, it's rude to talk about someone who's listening.]
But perhaps there will be another time. I would like to get to know you better, Sans.
[And it sounds genuine as well. They really would, now that they aren't trying to kill each other.]
no subject
If he were to say to the guy that ended up here that one day this would be somethin' he'd be up to - casually tossin' water balloons between himself and the kid that killed him, having conversations regarding the nature of childhood and who they were compared to who they are - the guy would'a laughed himself into oblivion.
But that's the weird thing. Hadriel's changed his perspective on things, on a lotta things, the kid included.
Or, hey. Maybe they did that all on their ownsome.
His grin softens, marginally.]
Heh. You'd be the first.
[Can't have a moment's sincerity without tackin' on that self-deprecating footnote, huh?]
But, uh. Yeah. Same.
no subject
And some of these things they learned from the Monster who had killed them over and over and in turn Chara had killed. They had murdered his brother, taunted him over and over about it and gave him every right to hate the demon before him. And hey, it may still linger. There was another human saying about time healing all wounds. Chara didn't put stalk in that for many reasons and they doubted that time would heal any of the things they had done to Sans.
* But maybe, with what little power you have left...
* You can break out of this pointless circle.]
Then here's to the future, correct?
[Chara tosses the water balloon. Green and Yellow.]
no subject
And hey, look at that.
They match more than usual.]
And here I was thinkin' that was a myth.
[How long's it been since he's given any thought to a future that's more than just the next day, and the next? For a long, long time, even the idea of there bein' a next day was somethin' beyond him, beyond even idle contemplation.]
no subject
There are various rumors about the elusive future, most thought to be conspiracy theories started on the web. But we may as well look into them for science.
[Chara doesn't have a future back in their world. But here may as well be somewhere to try.]
