( log eleven | open | in our busy schedules we have no time to meet )
Who: Clinic staff + Everyone!
What: Open / Catch-all / Mingle log for the Clinic. Come by and learn more, volunteer, get healed or simply chat with the staff.
Where: The Clinic, by the Colosseum
When: All through April.
Warnings: Nothing right now, but subject to change. Please warn in your headers as needed!
The reunification of the city as The Door reopens means that the Clinic has to scramble to get things in order, pushing monster corpses out of the way and cleaning up the mess left in the building. Which is why the signs, painted and hung, offering a drop in tour of the place (get to know the staff, hear more about first aid lessons) don't appear until The Door's been open for a couple of days.
But, hey. They're put out eventually. And the Clinic itself is hard to miss with its brightly painted front and variety of languages boasting the word medic, or its closest alternative.
Why not take a look? There's certainly gonna be someone on hand to talk to you, and maybe even give an impromptu demonstration of what you can expect in a first aid lesson.
Interested in knowing how to survive this place? Well, knowing how to patch yourself and others up is essential to such an endeavour. Thankfully, the Clinic is running another round of first aid lessons for all interested parties. Maybe you could come along, refresh your knowledge of the basics, or even volunteer to help out. Catch a staff member for a little one-on-one tutoring if you like.
Of course, there's always downtime, even for the busiest of bodies, and this month is offering plenty of it. Staff members, why not take time to relax and get chatting to one another? There's a makeshift deck of cards in the office for games and a fridge that will desperately need restocking with lunches and food now that the city's back in order.
Naturally, we can't forget the obvious. If you're injured, somehow, come seek help here. Staff are happy to help.
( Go nuts, post top levels, make them locked or open or whatever. )

Huh. Sounds like a really good deal, actually.
[He'll remember that, if he decides to talk to any of the supposed gods. As far as deals go--]
No, no, not exactly. Just still trying to get an idea of this place; I'm feeling kind of like I stepped into a video game or something.
[Because how this world works is nothing like his.]
no subject
It's the best deal, end of story.
Hold on, did he just-- wow.]
Oh my god. Don't tell me you're one of those gamer nerds, or whatever you have where you're from.
no subject
[That was deifnitely a stronger reaction than he was expecting
also okay he might be a bit of a video game nerd but he'll claim he's not ridiculously so.]no subject
[Buddy, she has dealt with way too many nerds in life not to know one when she sees one.]
Economics and video games. You must be so fun to hang out with.
[Behind the sarcasm is honesty. He probably is interesting to talk to, and smart to boot. A good person to have on your side, all in all.]
You're probably good at trivia. At least that's fun.
no subject
[He's obviously joking, because yeah, it's probably pretty obvious he's a nerd in some way or another. Her second comment might've stung a little if he couldn't read the underlying sentiment, so he just gives a small chuckle at her remark about trivia.]
Depends on the trivia. I'm sure you'd never guess, but sports is not a strong suit of mine.
[Nor is advanced math, but fortunately that's a rarity in trivia. The way she talks makes him think he isn't the only one of them who might be good at facts, though; she's obviously sharp and quick underneath the casual language, which he can recognize easily enough because he did--and still does--talk that way himself.]
I'm gonna guess you'd be pretty good at it yourself too, though I can't speak for you on the sports part.

[Points for the sarcasm, Lance. And for catching onto hers.
And for being perceptive. It makes things so much easier when you don't have to spell things out for people.]
I'm good at subjects you're not. [She shrugs.] Don't count me out for sports trivia. My boyfriend plays football. I've picked up a thing or two.
[She's picked up more than just a thing or two as far as rules and technical stuff goes. Still doesn't get the appeal of sports, but she gets how the games work.]

[That said, it's pretty cool and definitely fun to watch.]

Then we can get my friend Hannah on our trivia team. She's an amazing tennis player, so she's at least got that covered.
[There's probably no way to make a trivia game to play here that's fair to everyone, what with nearly everyone being from different times and places, but you're damn right she's thinking it'd be fun if they could.]
Okay, I have to keep serving people coffee. [She smiles at him.] I'll see you around, I'm sure.
no subject
Right, sorry, I'll let you get back to that. Thanks for the coffee.
[And answering his questions.]

No problem. My friends run the cart in other shifts. Let us know if you want any some other time.
[With a smug little grin, she pushes the cart onwards to brighten everyone else's morning.]
