Event Log: Fire Festival

What: The event log for the Fire Festival event
Where: All over the city!
When: September 14th-17th
Warnings: Smoke, fire, alas no marshmallows

Honestly, it's probably pure luck that a fire hasn't broken out sooner. All you people with your cooking and your magical fire powers and your explosives, you know? It shouldn't be a surprise that in a city with no fire alarms something will eventually get, well, a little too hot. It's only amazing that this is the first time.

So, are you one of the lucky ones? If you live on the south side of the city, in the houses that recently arrived, you'll probably be fine. You can go chill at the hot springs while everyone else desperately tries to save their homes and shops. Not your problem, right?
Or maybe you're a slightly better person than that, and you head right in to help the injured and stop the fire. Nice!

If you're on the north side of the city, things are going to be a little more urgent. Sure,
you could go chill at the hot springs too, but your house might burn down, or your favorite shop, or one of the nicer landmarks that you've gotten attached to. Maybe you should keep an eye on things - protect your own stuff, save yourself and your friends and pets, and then lend a hand to those in need. All you've got is each other!

She does not flinch nor falter when he turns and absconds the scene. His actions were decided the second he stepped foot into that building. Her presence only delayed the plan.

If he expects her to emerge from the window the same way he did, she does not. There is a crack and a pop, and then a burst, and flames stretch out from the open room where he and the cat had just escaped.

There is no sound nor whoosh or indication of her travel, before Ravine appears behind Kyrii where he stands. She's just there, as though she's always been there.

"Nice jump. Nine out of ten."

He isn't as abrupt as he'd normally be. On any other day he would have drawn his GBE on the someone that decided to come up behind him so suddenly. But since he arrived the charge doesn't take the same and the recoup time for it is longer than his liking. Besides, it doesn't seem like it would even phase this woman, whatever she is. Dead, the way she put it.

He peers over his shoulder with caution in his stare.

She owes him an explanation.
