What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.
This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.
Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.
To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...► This log covers October 14th-20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die in dreams you don't die in real life, but if you somehow die in real life anyway, please let us know here.

No matter how much you struggle, you cannot escape. You soon realize you're enchained from your wrists, from your ankles and from your neck... The chains are heavy.
Two armored man drag you through a corridor then through a doorway, finally reaching a room. Perhaps if you weren't in such distress, you'd notice it is one of the most overwhelming rooms you've ever seen. Its extremely rich decorations are only there for one thing, to show its owner wealth and power.」
Bring in the prisoner!
「The prisoner? Oh, right, that's you.
You're forcefully thrown before a group of people, dressed in rich robes and wearing golden jewelry, and behind them... behind them there is a throne, as spectacular and grandiose as it could be expected, and sitting on it, there is this rather young man, dressed in an even more pompous fabric than the ones before you, he's wearing gold almost everywhere and over his head rests a rather elaborated crown. As small and young as he might seem, as ridiculous his hairstyle might appear to you, the way he looks at you, it makes you cower.」
(ooc! There is an important (and pretty cool) factor you must consider if you want your character to be judged.
From the Y☆G☆O wiki:
From the manga:
It's completely up to you to decide what kind of soul your character has, evil or good. Shall it be evil, it will be dealt with, however you have the opportunity here to think what kind of monster/spirit your character can have. What does it look like? It's basically a mirror of their soul.)
here for the pain
There is absolutely nothing in his subconscious that would have slapped Atem up on a throne looking like the king of Alabasta, nor placed him in such a position over him. So. Time to start wondering.]
Atem-ya...? What is this, why did you imprison me?
give me your bad romance, wait nope (phew that was exhausting i'm sorry)
Shut up, thief! How dare you address the Pharaoh in such vulgar way, and by his sacred name!
「Unfortunately, it only earns the "thief", a rather harsh blow across his face. To which Atem merely observes.」
Pharaoh! Allow me to cut his throat! There is no need for you to deal with this scum!
「One of the guards readies his knife, awaiting for the King's answer, yet he lifts the thief's head, placing the knife on his throat.
The answer doesn't come right away, the Pharaoh shifts, almost boredly, and says something at the person beside him, at his Vizier.」
Stop, the Pharaoh wants to know why he was captured.
「The guard releases Law (Law?) and finally one of the people dressed in whites and blues speaks up.」
This thief was caught trying to trespass the palace, surely looking to harm you, my Pharaoh, shall he be judged by your Court or would you prefer to get rid of him forever? I could personally do it if you just say the word.
Priest Seto. 「Atem finally raises his voice, sending but a firm stare at the obviously older man, and just like that, the Priest seems to calm down giving him a respectful bow.」
As you wish, my King. 「He turns at the prisoner.」 You will be judged for your sins, are you ready?
not as sorry as I was trying to find a Duel Monster for him
The blow barely fazes Law, he gives his cut lip no regard but keeps his eyes level, watching the exchange before him. Pharaoh? That's a new one. Granted, the kid does look a little different but he'd know that hair anywhere. Obviously the smart thing to do would be to play along until more information is available.
And, hey, definitely not seastone in these chains...
His gray eyes shift to Seto and he almost looks smug for a moment.]
If you think you're capable of judging me.
so excited yeaahhhh
「Priest Seto doesn't need to say anything else, before he jerks his head at the others. And the show begins. One of them approaches Law with a large golden Ankh, presenting it at him.」
I see it, there is certainly an evil monster lurking inside this man.
Of course there is! What would you expect from vermin like this? Prepare the stone slab!
「The next comes fort, a rather old man from the bunch, one wearing a fake, golden eye, a rather terrible looking one, by the way. He has but to stare at Law and something starts coming out from him...
Atem shifts in his seat, and the apparent aloofness seems to dissipate, he's obviously interested in what kind of monster this person has. He's never gotten his Ka forced out of his body in such harsh way, he doesn't know if it hurts or not. Does it, Law?」
(meanwhile... the high priests at their peak, for your amusement... )
no I copped out it's a cliche choice
oh look at that! it okay friend it could be anything! not just ygo stuff but i love it
breaks all the rules! even though there is a Doctor D and I laughed
ahadsfsdf ohgod

I didn't do it.
[She knows not to say what the 'it' was. It could be for the crimes of her father, or for killing Nicholas Boyle, or for pushing Dr. Bloom out a window. She wouldn't admit to anything.]
Don't I get a lawyer or something?
[She looks up again slowly, forcing herself to look at the man in gold and give him her best look of innocence.]
Please. I didn't do anything wrong.
no subject
We will be the judges of that, woman. Priest Shada, if you please.
「There is some spite in his voice when he talks to her, a mere reflection of Atem's own dislike for this job. Judging others it's loathsome, as beneficial as it could be for the world, just a reminder of the darkness that could hide in people's hearts. Another priest approaches, bringing before her a large Ankh made of gold, it somehow resembles a key.」
Millennium Key! Show me this woman's heart!
「It shines with some kind of magical and extraordinary power--」
There is certainly a monster there, my King!
「The Pharaoh frowns, figures...
A third priest approaches to her, he's the older of the six, and he wears a fake golden eye.」
And now I, High Priest Akhenaden, will use the Millennium Eye to reveal the true form of that Ka!
「Yet again, the golden artifact glows and emits a radiant light that pierces through every shadow if the room, and something starts forcing itself out of the young woman. Atem leans on his seat, waiting. How terrible is her Ka going to be, he wonders.」

I don't have a monster. My dad was the monster! Not me! I'm not a monster! I'm not!
[She shouts, trying to be heard above the talk of things she doesn't understand, keys, millennium eye, a king, she can't understand what it has to do with her crimes. Her words turn into panicked screams as something starts to emerge from her.
[A set of feet appear first, massive bird feet with razor sharp talons. Abigail stares at them in horror and screams. To her, they seemed like they have been designed to tear flesh apart. It was why they called her father the shrike, comparing him to a bird that rips the organs out of its prey to devour later. And though she denies it - she helped her father in order to save her own life. She knows some of the evil stains her too.]
[Next to emerge is the body. It's also huge, looking like the body of a deer, but with wings that block more of her view, leaving her feeling almost as if she's alone with the creature. Her screaming stops, replaced by crying.]
[Last is the head. It's the head of a dog, cute and seemingly out of place with the rest of the beast. If the others look into its eyes, they'll see a sadness there. As if the pup only wanted to run to someone for love and attention, but has been abused too much too do so. The creature looks around, waiting instruction, even if it's an instruction to attack or kill. Another reflection of Abigail following her father's orders and then Hannibal's.]
[The creature opens its mouth, revealing a set of teeth that seem capable of shredding its prey with ease and a set of antlers emerge from the dog-head. Even though she has no clue what's happening, Abigail recognizes them. Her father impaled his victims on antlers like that. She tries to turn and run, but the chains cause her to fall to the ground where she crawls as best she can with her chained hands]
thank you, that was such a beautiful tag to read
But he sees her crying and trying to get away from it, he's seen that reaction before from people unaware of the evil they can do. Either she truly thought she's innocent or that she could simply hide these horrible truths from the world. They always come to the light...」
Hurry up, Seto.
「The man in blues nods at him, he raises the golden rod in his possession at the monster and howls. 」
Evil Ka! Dark spirit of chaos! Begone--and enter the holy stone!
「The rod shines, just as the rest of the artifacts had, the light surrounds the monster and it is pushed forcefully into a stone slab in a side of the room that had been previously prepared for this sole purpose. An engraving of the spirit monster appears on it and then everything comes to an and, all that can be heard are the sobs of the woman.」
Bring her before me.
「Atem finally speaks. The six priests and his Vizier look at him, as if they weren't believing what they are hearing. They will not go against his wishes, however. The guards that brought her in, lift her by her arms and walk her towards the throne, then force her to kneel before Atem.」

I've decided to put a robot in egypt. good luck.
But if he has to...then he will. Because he can, right?
Every part of him screams in a fight response, but Mettaton's not consumed by his own LOVE yet. He's still...himself.
As such, he allows the humans to shove him, with little more than a scowl. Of course...they would disdain that which does not follow the norm, right? No, maybe that's not it. Judging from the look of this place, they're an old-fashioned bunch, and he can't blame them for their lack of trust. Furthermore, he could hardly say anything negative about their sense of style--the kid on the throne is sporting a pretty good look. Mettaton might have killed for such glitz and glam if he still had it in him to value such things.
Which, well...he does, but it's not as important as it used to be.]
Prisoner...how quaint. I'm fairly certain I've done nothing to deserve such.
[That's all he has to say about it.]
domo arigato misuta robotto!
Priest Seto, is this your idea of a joke?
I assure you, it is not, my Pharaoh! Priest Mahad! It was you, wasn't it?
N-no! I would never--!
「And while these guys get into some heated discussion, Atem actually stands from the throne, his Vizier following close.」
Pharaoh, Pharaoh, wait, please return to the throne--
I want to see what this is, Siamun. 「Atem ignores everything and doesn't stop until he's before this shiny guy.」
What are you?
no subject
What?
What?!
How rude.]
My name is Mettaton, and I am not an object. I'm an individual, thank you very much!
[For someone bound in chains and not entirely aware of how he had ended up here, he's pretty sassy. What was the worst they could do to him? Harm him? Ha, they could try...]
Who are you, if you would grace me with such an answer? And what have I done to be treated so unfairly?!
no subject
I've got many names: King of Egypt, Son of Ra, the Favorite of the Two Goddesses, Lord of the Two Lands... Don't act so naive, you know very well what you have done, and, as the individual you are, you shall be judged.
「He says, a little smirk curving his lips as he does. Two can play the sassy game. He turns and returns to the throne, wondering already what kind of monster this one could have. Priest Seto, the one Atem called first, the one dressed in blues approaches wearing a rather cruel smirk on his face.」
You should be thankful the Pharaoh is merciful and is giving you this chance. I would have skipped the trial entirely and had you drawn and quartered in the moment you insulted him with your presence.

Who the fuck are YOU? [ Dark gray eyes now almost obsidian-black, blazing with contempt. ]

Shut up, scum! Learn your place, you're before our god on earth! Show some respect!
「So feisty, at least this might be entertaining.」
no subject
A god on earth, eh? [ God-kings. Heaven preserve us from their sort! He starts to laugh, which doesn't do his ribcage any good, but that doesn't stop him. ] And just what sort of respect do you think a penny-ante deity is due?

「One of the man in front of the prisoner, the one dressed in blues holding a rather strange rod, speaks up, his voice full of spite from the insults towards Atem. But the kid (he just looks so young) sitting on the throne simply looks at him with, a soothing, yet strangely firm stare for such a young man.」
Priest Seto, don't let his man's anger get to your heart. It's obvious he's under the influence of an evil Ka.
「Or maybe not, they would have to unveil it.」
Forgive me, my Pharaoh... But you're right, of course, he shall be judged for his sins.
「He looks back to the man... (he... doesn't look like one, just what is he?) and barks at him.」

whoooa this "evil spirit taking over".... IS KAIN!!!
[Kain shuffles a bit, testing the strength of those shackles. But he's tightly bound, not able to escape anytime soon. He's at the mercy of whoever's captured him. As he looks up at the young man, he feels a sense of relief as he recognizes him.]
Atem? What's going on? What is this place?
kain pls
You have some nerve to be calling our Pharaoh by his name. We'll make sure the Canopic jar for your guts is a somewhat larger one. You're here, before our God among men to answer for your sins, Kain Highwind!
「It is the man in blues who speaks instead, spite in his voice for having offended Atem. A mere reflexion of his own dislike towards this job. And yet, the fact that the Priest knows his name, it is a little odd, isn't it? 」
no subject
God among men? Him? [Considering he'd seemed very, very human when they'd met, Kain can't see this at all.] Wait... What... what do you mean, answer for my sins?
[Kain looks from one to the other, trying to see if he can get an answer sooner than not. He's... suddenly feeling anxious about being here. Do they know what a dark past he has?]
no subject
There is a lot of darkness in this one! Be careful, Priest Akhenaden!

It doesn't matter, does it? No, of course not, don't mind the way the scenery doesn't seem as solid as it was before. Nah. Let's move on with the show.
Only, it doesn't seem okay with Atem. He raises a hand, stops it all before it happens.」
Take off the chains. There is no use to them.
「His Vizier and Priests look at him briefly, somewhat used to his capricious behaviour, but it doesn't mean they exactly approve. The guards do as told without hesitation however.」
Who are you?
