Event Log: Field Trip Part 1

Who: All characters participating in the field trip event during February
What: The event log for the Field Trip event
Where: Outside of the city, moving toward new and exciting cities!
When: Feb 16th-28th
Warnings: None

After Love's post to the network, you'll find motorcycles and some food supplies stocked and ready for the taking. Your call to action is pretty significant as it's the first time you'll be outside of the city for any significant period of time after being in it for so long.

Nevertheless, you have supplies to pack and a big checklist of things to bring because there sure as hell isn't anything you can use as food or shelter out there in the desert. Hope you have some extra suntan lotion and sleeping bags too- you'll want them after a long day of driving! The travel should be fairly uneventful, but there's always lots of camping and survival skills that can come in handy for this part.

Once you get to the cities, you know your mission: locate the Hope temple and place one of your orbs onto the altar. Then, you wait- survive for another week or so and hope your supplies don't run too thin because there's no food out here. After that time is passed, then you can go home and restore Hope like the lovely little emotion battery allies you are!

"Irisse would love the challenge, at the very least," and Fingon has to smile at the thought. "And watching her make these gods regret they ever opened the Door at all would certainly pass the time."

"This is true. She might even convince them to let us go, although I have little hope for that. And if she's here without Tyelko to egg her on, she might even be a little less ... er... impulsive?"

"If she ever shows up here, please try not to mention that assumption to her. She'll go out of her way to prove us wrong."

It does feel good to speak of Irisse in the present tense, even if...well, outside Maglor, no one has the right to that, do they?

Maglor shudders.

"On that you have my word. I don't really feel like having to chase her across the world because she was bored."

Maglor likes to think of them in present tense. He gets very depressed when he has to swtich tenses.

Clearly it's a habit everyone should get into.

"Nor would I. Not least because she'd outwit us both and be laughing the whole time."

"I wonder if we could bribe her to stay put?"

"If we gave her every weapon in the house, perhaps. But I would not be assured of it."

"Then we are doomed, if ever she comes here." Maglor predicts with a laugh. "Or Hadriel is, perhaps."
