OTA Clinic Mingle!
Who: Anyone!
What: First aid/healing lessons, anyone who needs medical attention.
Where: The Clinic mostly, but potentially anywhere.
When: just after the move, open until the next mingle for anyone to stop by for lessons or treatment
Warnings: possibly injuries?
[ Shortly after the move, once Pell is certain the gods are no longer with them, he puts up another quick post. Text this time: ]
The Clinic has relocated but someone will be here at all times to provide medical attention to those who need it. Note the new indicator on the attached map, or call for help if you are injured and unable to get here.
Anyone who wanted lessons delayed by the involuntary memory transfers, I'll be holding first aid and healing lessons daily at noon, for approximately two hours. If you would prefer a private lesson that can also be arranged. We're still in need of volunteers for emergencies, especially as the gods appear to be missing and our burden may now be greater. Boil the water you gather if possible and stay warm. I don't think it's quite cold enough here to worry about this just yet, but if you believe someone is suffering from hypothermia: blankets and body heat are the best treatment, then warm fluids.
Thank you and be safe.
[ Please don't die, he'd be sad.
((OOC: Anyone can stop by/be brought in at any time to play out treatment, if you get hurt hunting or fall into the frozen lake when drawing water, and first aid lessons can be given by any Clinic staff! The list is here at
undersupplied.)) ]

Pell | OTA for lessons or medical attention!
They don't have much to spare right now, but the boxes have a suture kit, some bandages, a small amount of antiseptic and some handmade salves, and wraps for a splint. They're free for the taking, and if people come for lessons Pell has supplies designated for that as well, most of which will be reused because it isn't for actual patients. He doesn't expect to get a crowd, but is here perhaps with another staff member or two, just in case.
Healing lessons are always on offering as well for those magically inclined, though will likely be more personalized. Pell is either in the reception area or the office at these times, and will be listening for the door. The clinic isn't any warmer inside, but there isn't much to be done about that honestly. They'll make do. And of course if someone comes in injured, he'll be back to his normal work.

Pell, how is it going? You managing to keep warm, here? [ He means the staff and any patients. ]

Hello, Curufin. It's good to see you -- we're managing alright, plenty of blankets and all, but I'm cold no matter what in this weather.
[ He lifts his sweater a little to show a hot water bottle tucked there, between it and his shirt. ]
Everyone keeps telling me it isn't even that cold, too.
no subject
You need another sweater or jacket. I'll look for something when I go to the shops later today. [ That hot water bottle, though, what a good idea! ]
It's not all that cold by my standards, either. But it really depends on what kind of world you come from, what environment is natural to you? [ He's trying to remember what Seel has told him of the climate of his home world. Wasn't it fairly temperate, compared to this tundra? ]

Hello. You are the leader of this Clinic, are you not?
no subject
I am... you must be freezing, come further in.
[ If she allows it, Pell is going to hustle her into the staff room for a blanket and tea. ]
no subject
It. . . is a little cold. Thank you.
[she comes in closer, her youth becoming even more evident as she approaches. and she would appreciate both, but she's been set to guard this place against any attackers, human or otherwise]

hey
Point is, Harlan shows up in the clinic lobby suddenly, having teleported over because fuck trudging around in the cold. The main area seems to be empty, so Harlan ventures in the direction of the nearest door, knocking softly.]
Hey, Pell? You around?
sup harlan
It takes him a second, but he recognizes the man standing there and smiles. They've never actually been dead in front of each other like this and in person he's tiny, shorter than Harlan and slight, his long braid hanging over his shoulder. When he opens the door the rest of the way, the room feels a little warmer than the rest of the clinic. ]
Harlan. It's nice to meet you properly. How are you?
no subject
Yeah, you too. Are you busy? I figured I could try to teach you Message.
[He does notice the slight change in temperature and is thoroughly intrigued... If Pell has space heater magic, that's certainly something Harlan wouldn't mind learning in return.]

Lance | OTA
Lance hasn't been to the Clinic in... Quite awhile, honestly; since he doesn't have an office there, has managed to avoid injury, and hasn't had anyone he needs to visit or treat in an emergency, it's just ended up being quite awhile since he was around. But he's shown up to help even though he didn't end up responding to Pell's post; with the situation like it is, he thinks he should be doing his part and he's both capable in first aid and now wielding a bit of healing magic.
And, of course, his main profession, but he thinks that's probably low on the list of concerns at the moment.
He can be found wandering around, organizing stuff, getting reacquainted with where things are, and also eating a block of uncooked ramen again because that's what he does when there's a potential food shortage. Don't judge him. He can also help out if anyone's minor to moderately injured, though please don't ask him to do surgery.]
no subject
Lance... I could cook that for you, you know.
no subject
I appreciate the offer, but it's okay. It's kind of like eating a cracker.
[And really not that bad, and certainly not worth the waste of magic.]
no subject
[ He smiles a little, fond, and doesn't argue -- he wouldn't think it a waste to offer a friend some comfort. ]
It's good to see you back here.

it didn't do jack shit to remedy the situation, but it made her feel better and isn't that the important thing?
of course it is.
oh, and there's a familiar face. one she hasn't seen in way too long. blame her poor social skills for that one. so she marches on over to him, only to see him chewing away on a block of uncooked ramen. what the actual fuck. he'd mentioned doing it to her before, but she never thought she'd see it in action]
That. [she points to the ramen] You actually do do that. Holy shit.
no subject
[He looks dramatically annoyed, but it's totally--and clearly--for effect, not genuine.]

Rosen | OTA
It is good to see this place keeps running rain or....well...snow....
[He says it to whoever is nearest to him and tries for a playful smile but with the muscles of his face still mostly frozen he primarily just looks shell shocked]
no subject
And people keep telling me this is nothing, wait until actual winter -- come in here and warm up, I've got a crystal and water heated for tea.
[ What does that actually mean? Well, Rosen will find out. ]
And there's something I'd like to discuss with you anyway.
no subject
[His brow arches in question but nonetheless he steps in Pell's direction, eyes darting around the room as though they will find the explanation]
Well I'm happy to discuss anything you need.

Nagito Komaeda | OTA Backdated to 24th cw: suicidal behaviour
And so he sits in the waiting room in the clinic, his eyes cast down on the floor and his hands clenched. Occasionally, he turns to the entrance, looking like he's trying to decide if he should bolt. However, no matter what, he forces himself to stay put. He has to get this over with if he does not want to die in the worst possible way.]
no subject
she sees the guy sitting there, but he seems kind of skittish, so she doesn't approach at first. but he keeps looking at the entrance like he'd like to be anywhere but here. she figures sooner or later, he really is gonna make a break for it.
better head it off at the pass.
she approaches him]
Hey. Need help?
no subject
Komaeda smiles.]
Ah, hello. I understand if I look suspicious. I’m just waiting for someone.
(no subject)
I forgot to tag back. Apologies!
it's okay! :)
no subject
When Pell spots him in the waiting room he offers a warm smile, and motions him up. ]
Nagito? I'm sorry to have asked you to come here instead -- this way. I've got a room warmed.
no subject
Komaeda smiles, as if he was not looking nervous before.]
Ah! Don't worry about it. I thought you would be busy. I'll try and make sure this session is a short for you as possible.
