It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!► This log covers April 14th-April 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Julie Grigio | OTA

she's not at all dressed up for the shindig, being in jeans, a tshirt, and Converse sneakers and she's wondering if that was a mistake as many other people seem to have taken the opportunity to get all dolled up. whatever. you can stick a socially awkward eighteen year old in a dress, she's still gonna be a socially awkward eighteen year old.
she's carrying a plate laden down with waffles covered in butter and blueberry syrup, scrambled eggs, and perfectly cooked bacon. she is also toting a gallon jug of premixed mimosas which she has already made a dent in. she notices Julie and heads over to say hi]
Twister? Oh, fuck, I hope not. Never was any good at that game. Balance problems.
[awkward and uncomfortable in her own body problems to be more exact]
no subject
She snorts, giving a vague wave of one hand.]
That's why it's a great party game. When everyone's had a few drinks, everyone has balance problems.
no subject
she waves back and heads over to take a seat next to Julie, her plate balanced on her lap and her jug of mimosas on the ground. she smiles]
Okay, I see your point. I guess part of the fun would be landing on someone you wanna land on?
no subject
Yeah, that's part of the fun of it.
[And then there's the fun of just... having fun while you're drunk, and not giving a damn about what people think of you while you're doing it.]
If I can find it, do you want to play?

...and then Julie. He stops, back straightening as he tries to get his bearing. Trying to gauge where she is based on where he is, and more than that, what obstacles are between that location and his.
It isn't too far. In fact....
He thinks of something. opening his cane to it's full length, he turns slightly, bends down as if crouching in long grass, and slowly he eases the cane across the floor until-- success! It hits her foot.
Or at least he hopes it's her foot]
no subject
Ten points! [Julie exclaims, gently booting his cane with the toe of her shoe before she leans forwards to reach out and catch his hand, carefully pulling him towards her.]
Hey, Whistler.

Found you.

So he's about two drinks in when a young girl - who looks really fucking familiar - asks a question that pulls a smirk out of him. ]
Uh. Yeah. That's a crazy idea, but a fucking good one. It'd make for a hell of a good time, anyway.
no subject
Twister, or Jenga. Did you ever play drunk Jenga?
[She chuckles to herself.]
I mean, there's card games, but strip poker is so cliché.
no subject
[ He's also a gentleman who wouldn't play make the suggestion of playing strip poker with someone who already has a few drinks in her. Plus, he's intrigued about Jenga now. ]
What's your name, by the way? I'm Damien.
[ First things first. Also, because there are apparently two people with the same face around here. ]
no subject
I'm Julie.
[She reaches over, hand held out to shake his.]
And I need a few more before it'll actually be drunk Jenga.

17th;
luna glances over her shoulder, dressed in warm colors and wearing a bright smile. )
Julie, hello. I do not think I have seen paints in this store unfortunately. ( hmmm. ) Are you an artist?
no subject
Then, thrown into slight awkwardness by the question, she shakes her head.]
No, not even a little. I, uh... wanted to copy something I did back home. So I need five different paint colours. Red, white, yellow, black, and blue.
no subject
Hmm. Perhaps I might help? I found a small supply of water colors not long ago but since things have... gotten so better recently there might be more there. I can show you where I found them if you'd like.

He looks up when he hears a voice. ]
I have not seen any. What need do you have for paint?
no subject
The walls, in my bedroom. It's something I did at home. Every wall was a different colour, to mean something.

[ Aric supposes that he can understand that. He had endless years to spend alone in his Castle Lethe and he had spent a lot of time decorating and filling it with things but most of them were meaningless to him -- aside from the things that were the oldest. ]
There are some things here that are very difficult to find.

What is 'Twister'?
no subject
[She's not sure where they're keeping the games here, but if they have games she'll find it, and she'll get a few people to play it with her.]
You have a mat on the floor, with rows of different coloured spots on it, and a spinner. Someone spins the spinner, and that decides what hand or foot you put on which colour. [Julie scrunches her nose up slightly.] It's way more fun when you're drunk.
no subject
And this game is fun? It does not sound fun.

He's standing nearby when Julie beelines for the pad thai, and her obvious enthusiasm gets him curious. Noodles aren't something common back home, so he doesn't recognize the dish she's filling her bowl with. There's pasta in the shops here but these look different. It can't hurt to ask, right? ]
Excuse me. What is that?
no subject
[Oh, how rude. Pell catches her half way through eating a couple of noodles and she slurps them up quickly, muttering 'sorry' with a grin on her face that implies she's not really terribly sorry at all.
She gestures to the bowl with her fork.]
It's called pad thai. Stir fried noodles, shrimp, chicken beansprouts, green onions... This has got just the right amount of chili sauce. [Quickly, she looks from the bowl, to Pell, then back.]
... You want some?
no subject
If you're sharing. I've never heard of it.
[ He reaches for another bowl, his gaze now on the shrimp poking their tails out of the dish. ]
It must come from somewhere on the water?
